Today we observed and described apples. When we described the apples we typed the descriptions in .a website called Today' s Meet. This website let us comment about the apples we could see other people's comments, while the chat was just with our class. The activity was really cool. We got to use magnified glasses, I learned and saw things that I have never knew before about apples. I think a strategy like observing and describing is a good trick to learn because throughout your life this strategy will be very helpful. |

The 21st Century skill that I chose was Ask Questions and Solve Problems. I chose this skill because I think that wondering about things is what gets us so far in life. Asking questions and solving problems is so important because it keeps us thinking, when you keep on thinking you keep on wondering, when you wonder you solve the problems, get information and become that much smarter.
Today we finished our maps on the computer that show how many electoral votes each state has. The purple states means that some part of that state is Republican and some parts are Democratic. I was surprised about how the votes came out because Obama was way ahead in electoral votes but much closer to Romney in population votes. I really couldn't decide who I wanted to become the President of our country because I really like both of them and their decisions, especially when I was watching the debates! I think Obama got farther ahead in electoral votes because he got California and Florida.
This type of organizer helps people understand concepts like energy sources because it can help you get very important facts about the topic. I might use this type of organizer in the past when I am learning about a topic that has lots of fact about it and has a lot to learn about it.
Today we finished our video that is explaining what Nuclear Energy is and how it is the best energy for the world to use. In this video it has pros and cons and the whole cycle and format of the nuclear energy getting made. Making 't this poster in the video wasn't very easy, especially because my group had to find important information that was. It was hard because the answers that we needed were not very easy to find in our research. One answer we could not find was what place is the nuclear waste stored, this was because every website didn't say exactly where they store it. The website's usually said where we should should store it or something very general. Making this video can help us win the debate because it shows so much information! Lots about why we should use nuclear power, also lots about persuasive things to switch to nuclear power. |
