Developing Units with 21st Century Skills in Mind
Goal of this session: To allow educators to walk away with ideas for creating curricular units using the principles of (1) TPACK and (2) UbD, the (3) Common Core standards, (4) Web 2.0 tools, (5) 21st Century skills, and (6) curricular objectives. (Don't forget differentiation techniques, teaching through all of the multiple intelligences, and brain research!)

(2) What is UbD? Begin with the end in mind. What should the students know, understand, and be able to do? Start with the big ideas (enduring understandings) and formulate essential questions. Then let those guide instruction and assessment.
