Human Body Poster Reflection
We think that the first one was harder than the second one because we didn't know a lot about the organs. Also, we had a list of the things we needed and we had the computers with us the second time. It was easier because we knew more after all the lessons we learned. We learned a lot about other organs in the body. Even though we had some troubles, we managed to keep moving forward. We thought the lungs were cool because we learned the different parts of it. We had lots of fun!

Breathing Through Straws

Today in science class we did a really fun experiment! We got to breath through different size straws while doing different things! It may not sound too exciting but it was great. I thought it was hard to breathe through the wide straw while running in place because I could only breathe through that one tiny opening and I was breathing heavily from running. When I used the thin straw the trick was to breathe faster so, I didn't think it was as hard. I do think it was really easy breathing through the wide straw while sitting down because I wasn't doing anything.
When I was breathing through the wide straw while walking in place it made me feel tired out. I think it made me feel that way because I only had a little tube to breathe out of.
I noticed when breathing through the thin straw that I breathed faster than the wide straw. I'm not sure why but, I did better than breathing through the others. I do have one guess, since I needed more air I breathed faster. I don't think that breathing through the thin straw was that hard, I thought it was the easiest.
When we breathed through thin straws we only did it for 20 seconds instead of a minute. I think if we went for a whole minute most people would pass out. So, we multiplied are score by 3. I am glad that we didn't have to run or walk in place for the thin straws because we would all be dead ya thats right DEAD!
As, we got more active we needed more air because we were working harder than before also, are breathes got faster and faster. I think are brethes got faster because are bodies were working harder.
After doing this experiment I learned how hard it is to have bronchitis. :( Boo Bronchitis!!!!!!:(

My Heart Rate

Today we were trying to find out what are pulses were. First we tested when we were all sitting down and relaxed and it turns out that are heart pulses weren't too high. Then we had to do 50 jumping-jacks. (I don't think it was too tiring) As, I was jumping I felt like my heart was going to fly out of my chest because it was going so fast. Right after I jumped I had to quickly shove the things in my ears so I could count my heart beats. When I was graphing and comparing my results I noticed that when I moved and jumped before the trial my heart pulse was higher. Since, my heart changed it's pattern of thumping, I thought to my self why it does that? I snatched my reference book and tore through the pages. This is what I saw, your cells need more energy so, to make more energy, they need more oxygen and nutrients. I thought that means to eat and drink healthy choices. I had so much fun doing this you should try it too.
