Surface Cloth Tree Bark Pebbles Water Sand | Prediction I think that when a droplet of water falls onto cloth (clothing) it will absorb into it. I think that when the water drops onto the tree bark it will just fall down into the dirt or grass beneath it. I think that when the water goes onto the pebbles I think it will form puddles on the top of the pebbles. I think that when the water goes onto the surface of the water I think that the water will come back up in a ball formation then finally come back down, and make ripples. I think that when water hits the sand then the sand will come together. | Actual When I put the water droplet on the cloth I saw that the droplet stayed circular on the cloth, but eventually sank in, and left the cloth wet. When I put water onto the tree bark the droplet slid down the bark leaving a small trail behind it. When I put the water on the pebbles some of the water sat on the top of the pepples while the other half actually sank in. When I put the water on water it went down into the water then came back up as a sphere shape, and the came back down again, creating ripples. | Reflection My prediction was right. When the water went onto the surface on the cloth, in sank in just like I thought it would. My prediction was right. When the water went onto the tree bark , the droplet slid down the bark very quickly, going into the dirt at the bottom My prediction was half right, yet half wrong. I was half right because some of the water sat on the top while the other half sank into the pebbles. My prediction was right. The water went down, came back up, then created ripples. |
