Today we learned about Heat Transfers today. We learned that cold can only take away heat.
Are experiment was a cookie dough bucket and a red solo cup, inside taped to the bottom. We used the site "Logger Lite". On the site you can use tempeture probes,and see what temeture things are on your computer.
    We were surprised by how in the end the cold water started getting hot and the hot water was started to get cold. We thought that the tempatures would match up and they would flow together, our predictions were wrong the tempatures did match up but then they criss-crossed.
    The science was that cold can only take heat away, but heat can't take away cold.

Today in class we learned how to create a fair test. We all thought of a procedure before we started our experment. Mine was this- first I got my materials, then I made a prediction, next I held up the two balls I was using to experiment with and made sure that they were eye level so it was a fair test. When I dropped them the ping pong ball went higher than the soft soccer ball. My prediction was wrong.   Lastly I recorded my data.

This year will be great because I have a lot of good friends in my class. I also have a great teacher who teach thing in a very good way.

So far I have learned a lot!! For example, I learned 10 different sources of energy and how to add and subtract decimals.

Some goals I have set so far are to write a full page in writing and to try and make new friends this year.

I learned quite a bit about political parties in class today.  Here are some of the highlights:

• The names of the two political parties in the United States are called the Constitution party and the Libertarian party
  
• The smaller political parties are usually called the Greenback party, the Free Soil party, the Know Nothings and the Bull Moose party.
  
• People who don't want to register as a member of a political party can register as a third party member.
  
• People who are registered members of a political party DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO vote for that party's candidate.
