Today in class we did an activity to learn about the Nervous System. For the activity one person held up a clear plastic sheet, and the other person threw a paper ball at the sheet. When Corinne threw the paper ball, I blinked hard, and took a little step back. I did that because I didn't want my eye to get hit. That helped because I would have more distance from the ball, and when I blinked it helped, so that my eye wouldn't get hit.
A while ago we did another activity. Somebody held a ruler, and gave a signal before they dropped it. They were supposed to try and make contact with the ruler so we could catch it. I don't think that it was the same because we didn't need to make contact with the paper wad in the activity. In this activity I think we uses something called a blink reflex.
