We did an experiment about heat transfer we put a plastic cup into a big plastic bucket by taping them together and we put hot water in one and cold water in another. Then, we put temperature probes into the cold water and in the warm water. We thought that the warm water would cool the cold water up but, it just cooled to room temperature and stayed like that. I was surprised to see that they went to room temperature instead I thought that the warm water would stay the same and the cold water would get really warm. I also was surprised that at the end of the experiment they crisscrossed a little bit because the warm water got colder and the cold water got warmer.
This is my project for my canidite Taylor S!
Today in class we learned about fair tests. I learned that you can't have more then one difference. Like if you want to see what would hit the ground first a brick or a feather and you put the feather one inch off the ground and the brick twelve feet above the ground. In the experiment I did today I saw that if you try to bounce a tennis ball and a dodge ball and see witch one will bounce higher on advridge the dodge ball will bounce 5 centimeters taller. I also learned that a lot of stuff can not be fair like even if you try to get both of the balls bottoms at the same level the slitest bit off could be unfair. Also I learned that you should drop them at the same time because it could make a difference.
-This year will be great because Mr Solarz is going to do 21st century stuff instead of worksheets and packets. Also it will be great because I have alot of friends in my class.
-I've learned alot of new stuff like Math, Science and Writing.
-My goals for this year are to work together and to help my class mates out when they need it.
-I was surprised that I was a democrat because my parents ushaly vote for republicans.
I learned quite a bit about political parties in class today. Here are some of the highlights:
