Today in School we learned to absurd and describe. So we all took a half an apple and you could take any thing to pick at it and discover knew stuff about an apple. I thought that it was hard to think of stuff at the last minute because you don't have anymore good ideas to say. The thing that I liked about it was that you found out a lot of stuff that you never knew. Did you know that the inside of an apple seed is white. I would of never known that if I didn't do that.

Today in school we learned about renewable energy sources. We read a book about them and took notes. I thought that the hard part was trying to keep up with my notes and read at the same time. The thing that I liked about it was that I learned about different energy sources like wave power which I never even knew about. The things that I learned were like that wind power is really loud and it causes stress. An other thing that I learned was that Geothermal Energy could use that water that wasn't heated enough and heat it up to make energy.

    In class we are reading books in groups and I was put in Radio Fifth Grade. I liked it because it had funny parts like when mark blowhard a whole puddle and it blew out the power on Kidview. Another part that was funny when Mark left Winston on the back of a pickup truck and he had to chase it for a long time and then Mr.Whitehead did for about a whole Mile and got Winston. The things that I didn't like about it was that at some parts in the book you got really confused and I really didn't like that. I also liked in the book that Benjy is practically a real person the Author did a good job making him real. Another thing that I like was that you got to see the life of a Radio DJ and how it isn't that easy all the time. If I were to rate this book I would give it 3 stars because it really didn't interest me and I didn't get half of it. 

Today in School we learned about 21st Century Skills. The 2 lessons that we did helped you understand them because you can try to work harder on every skill and to help you learn like in these ways. (2) I chose, think and learn flexibly and Apply Past Knowledge to new situations. (3) I chose these skills because I actually do apply past knowledge to new situations and I want to think and learn flexibly.  21st Century Skills are skills that are class room uses to work efficiently. (4)They help us learn new stuff, like with Think and Learn Flexibly it helps you to change if something bad happens when you are doing a project. They help me because if I'm doing something in class I can always think about what I'm doing at that moment and if I am doing horrible at one of the skills I can try to fix it. Another way that it helps you because if you don't under stand something they can help you.

    In the energy unit we are doing an energy debate! Because of that we had to make a persuasive organizer. This helped us when we made a video about geothermal energy.(If you want to see it just scroll down!)
    My teacher, Mr. Solarz, likes to teach in a 21st century way. While he does this we get to use lap tops, ipads, and lots of cool websites. I have learned lots so far, even while I am in a 21st century classroom!

    Today in school we made a map about how the election went. I thought that it was really ironic that the popular vote was really close but the electoral collage wasn't close at all! Another thing that I thought was really weird was that Romney didn't win Massachusetts even though he is the Governor there! The thing that I'm Worried about is that the dept were in and I don't think that Obama going to get us out of it. Even in the debates that I watched they really didn't seem that there ideas were good enough to get us out of it. Then he raising are taxes for programs that I thing isn't that smart of a idea because really people can handle there lives themselves and because they are grown up.  (2) the president can't win the office by the amount of people that vote for them because we have the electoral collage. The electoral collage is a thing that determines the President by people voting for people to vote for who should be the President. (3) I think that the Electoral Collage should be changed because the president could win the popular vote but not the election.

        Today in school we made graphic organizer (above) for our energy group. We got put in groups and my group was assigned the Geothermal Energy.  This organizer helped me understand Geothermal Energy because maybe you thought that geothermal energy was associated with water. In our organizer it said that it wasn't though so it would probably help someone that doesn't understand as much as me and my group do. I might use this organizer in the future because I might actually want to convince people that geothermal energy is the best one out of all the others. Also, I might use it when I want to show people it, but more importantly I would use it when I want to compare all the energies together.
