Once we finished our book, we made 3 over dramatic videos that were all from scenes in our book. (NOTE!!! THESE ARE VERY OVER-DRAMATIC! MIGHT WANT TO TURN DOWN THE VOLUME!) Here they are:

First video. Scene ( In the kitchen )

This is the first video we made where we were acting out the dinner scene with Rick, Steve, and Steve's mom they are having tacos.

The second videos. Scene ( Waling on the street and get attacked by rocks)

This is the 2nd video we made. This is the scene where we were pretending to be attacked by Nate, the bully in the Brixton Brothers and he throws rocks at us and we hurt him and then run.

The last video. Scene (In the car and then they follow the B syndicate and pass out)

This is the final video we made where we were acting out the scene where Rick leaves Steve and Dana his car keys, and followed the B. Syndicate.

Reflection:

I learned that the book had a very good mystery and a good ending. This book would be very good for you if you like mysteries. The mystery involves a boy and his friend that go looking for Bart because something happened to him and they try to figure out what happened and they get in some big trouble during that. they have this mystery at the start of the book and hey figure out who it is at the end. So if you like mystery's this is the book for you.

Watery Earth Lesson 3 - Drops of Water on Different Surfaces

Prediction

I thought that the sand would stick but after doing it a few time in the same spot it would get watery.

I think that the dirt will absorve it and then it would get all gooey.

I think that the water would go around the rocks and some of it absorve.

I think that the wood will absorve the water and some of it would fall of it.

I think that the leaf will absorve the water.

Actual

What actual happened was that the sand stuck together and the water got absorbed. After that we showed it again and then the sand stated to get watery not sticky.

What happen was that the dirt absorve the water.

What actually happened was that the water just when to the bottom and all the rocks got hit by the water and they got wet.

The water actually made the wood / bark get darker and more browner. The water also actually also feel off a little.

What happened was that he leaf act like a silde and the water ran down it.

Reflection

My refection is that the water made the sand sticky to watery with the few drops in the same area.So that it shows what happens to water when it hits sand.

My refection is that the water hits the sand and then what happened is it started to get gooey after a few times.

The water did something different then what I thought. What happened made a lot of since.

The water did actually do what I guessed that they would do. The water absorve and made the wood darker.

The water did not do what I guessed it did something that I probably would not have of guessed it slid down and did not do anything else.

The water story. ( The cycle of water )

We are ready to take of, said Josh Parker leader of the rain. The raindrops were getting ready to be realized into the land that they were above. Yay I have been waiting all his life to do this and it is finally coming true. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 go. Suddenly I feel out of the cloud and saw the lovely world I have heard great thing about it and they were all true the color of the land and the little people playing around in the sand. That all was like the greatest music to my ears. All of a sudden I felt a splash and then realized that it was a lake and I was beautiful. But what happened next? The thing was that he never had done this and it seemed scary but no worrys his friend was there for him to answer all of his questions. His friend said that what happened next is that they were going to evaporat. Evaporat what does that mean. Well evaporat means when you get turned in to a gas sort of, just like steam. Not really friend because you can see stream ans you can not see wtaer vaportat because it is invisible. RIght friend. Yes you are absulutly correct josh. Then they went up into the air almost like they wer flying. Then they told about there trip and how muh fun it was. That is where the whole cycle started again and they had the whole jouny began.

Watery Earth Lesson 2.3 - How Venus Flytraps Use Water

This is a Venus Flytrap.

I am sure you know that Venus flytraps need water to survive, but do you know about all the ways they need water.This plant need water to survive but it only need water twice or three times a mouth. They need water with special minerals. The minerals are what helps it to stay healthy. The water from the water bottle or from the sink will not work because it does not have the right minerals for the plant to stay healthy. This plant does not need water to take baths unlike us humans.

How they both use water in different ways and the same.

Humans

Humans use it to get clean with the water.
Humans use water from a cup and from any kind of filter water.
Drinks water every day about 10 cups a day.

Venus Flytrap

The Venus flytrap does not use water to get cleaned because it is a plant.
The Venus flytrap need water from the bottom and uses rain water because it has minerals.
Feed them water a minimum of 2-3 time a mouth and a maximum of 4-5 times a mouth.

Both

They both use water to stay alive and not die.
They both use water to get nutrients.
The both use water to grow.

Why is water considered a "Natural Resource?"
How is water essential (required) to our survival and the survival of all living things?

1. Water is considered a natural resource because it can only come from nature and it is not man made.
2. Water is required for survival of all living things because we all need to drink it, and if we go over our limit of time without drinking it, we will die of dehydration.

Colonizing Mars Lesson 6: Potential Problems

If we go to Mars we are going to have trouble with the medical because there are going to be problems with the bones getting weaker. The bones will start to deteriorate. That means that there are going to be a bunch o f problems and that is bad. We also could run out of medical supplies because there are more different sickness. I hope that we can have enough medical supplies so that we can live and stay healthy. I hope that Emma Turner the Pharmacist can have enough of the medical thing that we need to keep us alive and living on mars. Or we will need Damien Startseva the inventor to create some of the supplies that we need to keep use heathy. That is why the suppose that we need to keep us running and alive to live on mars.

1.My definition for man made resources is they are things that we use that are made by humans.
Natural resources occur in nature and that are not made by humans. Natural resources are just naturally there.

Drinking and Eating
I use a water bottle to stay from getting dehydrated.
I use water to drink when having lunch.
I use water to drink over night so that I do not have to get up.

Keeping Clean

I take a shower.
I put a sponge in my guitar to keep it from getting a weird sound.
I take water to clean my face in the morning.
I take water to use it so that I can splash my self so that I am awake.

Caring for Pets

I use water to put in my hamsters water bottle so that she can drink.
I use water to put in the fish tank so that my fish do not die.
I use water to put in the dog bowl so that she is healthy.
I use water to put in the cats bowl so that it can stay healthy.

Playing

I use water to play in the pool.
I use water to work the sprinkler so I can play.
I use water to put in my squirt guns.
I use water to put in buckets to prank my sister.

Other
I use water to do laundry.
I use water to clean the floors.
I use water to put in the plants.

The most common water uses are drinking, cleaning, and animals because they happen often.
The most unusual water uses are to play and other because they are not as common as the other ones and they do not happen ads much.

The Time I Did A Hand Stand

The first time I did a hand stand is when I was 11 and was doing a handstand compition with my friends and my sister. We were doing a flip competition and all of a Sutton I decided that we should do a handstand competition. So we hand two teams and we had a ref to watch aka my grandpa. We got into positions and when I went down I put my legs strait and all of a Sutton I saw my team mate she went down and got her legs up but not strait. I waited to see if she would make them strait but after a few second I gave her a look so that she could try to make them strait and in position. Ii was doing great but them when we went up the other team went down and got them self's into position I was scared so I when and did another handstand and a flip just right. Then the person on the other team copied me. Then for the final round I went to my partner and told her what we were going to do. We both went down at the same time. We got into position this was it the winning act no mistakes. All we had to do is get it to be perfectly done. I took in a deep breath then went down I did two flips and went into a handstand so did my partner. We finish and went up and all of a Sutton the other teams went down and did a flip hand stand but not as good as ours. The ref / judge said that the team that won was ours and we got to pick out what to do next.

It is like a bubbling swish sound and it is like it swish bubble bubble swish.

Touch

The water is warm because it has been sitting out for awhile.

It feels pretty warm and has a little coldness.

Smell

The water smells like florid
The water also smells likes chlorine in a swimming pool.

Sight

The water is clear like the cup.
The water has bubbles on the cup side where the water is touching.
