Watery Earth Lesson 2.1 - How I Use Water

Drinking and Eating

• After playing sports I always want a nice cold glass of water
• When my family has picnics we bring water as a drink
• When I bake cakes and other yummy things, I usually use water in the batter
  

Keeping Clean

• When I take baths and showers I use water
• I use water to wash my hands
• Washing the dishes
• The washing machine uses water when it cleans our clothes
• Brushing my teeth
  

Caring for Pets

• My pets need water to drink
• My dog needs to take baths every month
  

Playing

• Sometimes me and my sister turn on the sprinkler in the summer and run around in it
• At my birthday parties we have water balloon fights
• Me and my sister make "potions" out of water and mud, and sometimes other things (I know it sounds gross, but it is really fun)
• My family likes to go to the pool in the summer
• Water gun fights
  

Other

• Our class does some science experiments with water
• My mom uses water to water our flowers in the backyard
• We put water in our humidifiers in the winter
  

The most common uses of water was washing hands, drinking, and showering.
The least common use of water was mixing it with chalk and throwing it at the sidewalk (Om Emily W.'s blog).
