1. All personal narratives have to be a true story about you, or else they are not personal. They can't be fictional because they have to be about an experience you've had, and nobody's going to find magic.

2. I think I'm good at using good describing words and showing the reader all the details about the setting. I like to know exactly what the setting looks like when I'm reading, so I think my readers should be able to visulize that too.

3. In writing I think I should improve on using other words then said. I usaly use the word said, and I need to work on using other words. Part of the problem is that when I try to think of other words, only one or two pop into my head, and they usaly aren't very good.

1. Why is a project like the Revolutionary War Hero Project a good one?
2. What is one thing that you learned about your hero that you found interesting that other people probably don't know?
3. Explain how you would have liked to use ThingLink on an activity that we did earlier in the year.  Which activity was it?  How would you have used the tags?  Why would that have been a good use of our class time?

1. The Rev War Hero project is a good one because making a poster can really take lots of time and effort and when you work hard on it you can remember what you do. plus you are also making a video and explaining everything on your poster, and that is another way to help you learn and remember.
2. I found it interesting that she was taught to read and write as a kid and most girls weren't ever taught to read and write in that time span.
3. I think we could have used thinglink for the energy debate posters. We could put a tag on each of the things on the poster, so people online could go to to different sites where each group got that information from. That way if anybody doubted some info, they could see for themselves if it as right or not. I think this would be a good use of our time because teams could even use the thinglinks in the debates.
   

At the Historical Reenactment I learned all the things that you would need to go camping back in 1775. I can't believe you would need so many things for just one day in the wilderness! I wouldn't like to be a camper in 1775, because I wouldn't even be able to pick up my bag! I also learned that school in 1775 was horrible! You couldn't colaberate because you weren't allowed to talk, or else you would get a painful punnishment.  I would be terrified of my teacher and school if I lived in the 1700s.
    I liked learning about hotels and what the hotel keeper had to do. I was really interested in how the hotel was run, and what the keeper had to do. I didn't like learning about the keeper though, because it didn't seem like a very interesting job and it wasn't very fun to learn about. I don't like it when people kill animals just for the fur. It is cruel and actually against the law these days!

In fall most leaves, except for the needles on a evergreen, change color and eventually fall off. The reason evergreens don't loose their needles is because they are covered in a waxy coating, but all other trees decided to do things other ways. They decided to lose their leaves every year, then get them again in the spring. They reason leaves change colors and the way trees loose their leaves kind of go together. In the spring and summer the leaves are green because of this chemical it the leaf called chlorophyll. Then at the start of fall, the leaves usally turn yellow, red or orange. The leaves turn different colors from the different chemicals in the leaves. The leaves that  turn yellow or orange turn those colors from the same chemicals called  carotene and xanthophyll. Most of the year the leaves are green because those two chemicals are overthrown by chlorphyl, so they can't come out until it starts to wear away in the fall, though they are in the leaf year round. Some leaves turn the color red because of a chemical called anthocyanins which is not in the leaf year long. It only comes out when the chlorophyll starts to break down. Finally, towards the end of fall, the leaves start to turn brown. They turn the muddy color because there isn't much more chemicals in the leaf, and it is just the unwanted stuff of it all. Last the leaf can't get anything from the tree anymore, so it just breaks away, leaving a scar where the leaf was.
