1. Describe what you did during the panel debate.
During the Panel Debate we were assigned one of six famous Loyalists or Patriots. My group and I were Benjamin Franklin, a Patriot. (Which means he wanted independence) We had one actor who was Benjamin Franklin that means that he would sit in a chair and ask some questions to Jonathon Boucher's actor. We had to have a panel debate with Jonathon Boucher. In that debate we had a thirty second introductory statement that described who Benjamin Franklin was, what his jobs were, and his opinions on independence. That was said by a different member of the group. Then we asked Jonathon Boucher a question, he answered, then he asked us a question, then we answered. The same thing went on until each of us asked three questions. While the question asking and answering was going on the costume designers were video taping. The other members would stand behind the actor and would talk together about what to say when we answered the questions that Jonathon Boucher asked.




Write something good and bad about each of these subjects.

2. Our Answers- I think that both groups had very good questions and answers. We had answers that we found in the book and they all made sense. But, I think that we could have had more descriptive answers.

3.Our Preparation- I think that before the actual debate my group did an amazing job with the papers and the questions. But, I think that the day of the debate we did poorly on getting straight to the debate.

4.Our Behavior- I think that we had great behavior during the debate because no one was being mean about the questions. No one was being silly either which is important. But I think that we were arguing to much at first and were distracting the other groups.

5. Our final product- I think that we were pretty good during the debate itself. But, I definitely could have been louder and more clearly.

6.  Working together- I think that overall working together was the best quality we had. We were always thinking as one and we knew that we would have to work more than just at school so we did some of our work at home and that is very smart and considerate to the other members of the group.

Answers: 1.  The temperatures are alike because they both are in Fahrenheit. That means that not one of them is in  Fahrenheit and the other is in Celcius, it means that they both are measured by Fahrenheit. They are different because one of them was hot water and the other was cold. Also, one had red dye in it and the other does not.

2. The cold water began to get warmer and warmer as it adjusted to the room temperature  and it started to evaporate.

3. The warm water began to get colder and, just like the cold water, it began to adjust to room temperature and evaporate.

4. The graph showed the temperature drop or rise when the thermometer sticks were in the water. It showed a broken line graph of the data.

5. The lines on my partners and my graph were a little bit different than everyone elses because our lines were parallel the whole time and were really close together the whole 15 minutes.

6. It could have effected the cold water in two ways. One was that the water adjusted to room temperature or (it could also be both) when the cold water was next to the warm water it could have effected it.

7. Same thing as the cold water. It could have effected it because it adjusted to room temperature, or when the cold water was next to the warm water it could have effected it.

8. I think that the temperatures will probably keep going straight because the whole 15 minutes the temperatures were parallel. And, almost the whole time the temperatures were straight.

9. The food coloring didn't have anything to do with the temperatures. That is because no explosions or anything like that happened to the water when the food dye was put in except making it red.

1. Which side is easier to debate: Patriot or Loyalist?  Why?  I think that being a Patriot is easier to debate about because I would have wanted independence and I think that we should of deserved less taxes and we should have had more power in the Parliament.

  2. You completed History Alive 10 on paper and History Alive 11 on computer. Which way made you LEARN more? Why?  I think that on paper I learned a little bit more because it seemed like in the book we got better and more descriptive explanations than we get on the computer. But, I think that you do learn a lot on the computers also. 

My 2013 class teleported back into Boston, 1768. My first couple weeks here were great! I got a job as an innkeeper and I live with my boss in his normal sized house. I have earned much money throughout the experience and I am proud of myself. 0ur bosses gave us money because it was payday. I earned six pounds. Then the tax collectors came and they said that there were new laws that would cost money for each law. The first law that King George the Third mad was that everyone who wears glasses would have to pay one pound, so luckily I don't have glasses. Then a really bad law that was really expensive was that everyone who wore a bracelet or necklace would have to pay two pounds. So I was super happy when I realized that only today, I was not wearing a bracelet or necklace. The next law, which I was really scared about, was that anyone who wrote with their left-hand, had to pay a pound. I was so overjoyed that this was the last law and I had not wasted any pounds. Then I thought that I was done, the tax collector would leave, and there would be no more laws. But then the tax collector got a letter from King George the Third, saying that he created a new law. I was so, so, so, so, so, so, upset. I did not want to risk losing my six pounds of money because today would have been the first day with no taxes. So, I listened to what the law was because if I complained then they would send me to prison. The third and final new law that King George the Third had made was that anyone who was born in a month ending with -ber, would pay one pound. Since, my birthday was in June I was probably the happiest girl in the world for that moment. The tax collector left and I sat there with my original six pounds left. I was so worried that after I had worked so hard for that money it would be taken away from me. But now that I have all of my original money, I feel amazing. Though, I do feel very badly for the people who did get their money taken away. But I know those people from my 2013 classroom that we teleported from to here, and I definitely know that they will earn more.

Answer: as you see in my slideshow, one picture represents where I work and another represents where I live with my boss.
2.How does your Google Doc Script clearly show Mr. Solarz that you understand your two events leading up the Revolutionary War? Answer: I know that my two events that I wrote about in my script show Mr. Solarz that I understand the Revolutionary War because I wrote in the script what happened during those two events from the book after finally figuring out how to put my two events into my own words and trying to explain those two parts of the Revolutionary War.
 

3. How does your Google Doc Script clearly show Mr. Solarz that you understand what a Patriot is and what a Loyalist is? Answer: I showed Mr. Solarz that I knew what a Patriot and a Loyalist is because we had on part in the script where my partner talked about how loyal she was to King George and I talked about how I thought King George's laws were dumb.

1. Explain how the Stamp Act had several effects that eventually led to colonists wanting to declare independence from England. Answer: The colonists didn't want to pay extra money for stamps.
2. Explain whether or not the Boston Tea Party was a cause that led to the colonists declaring independence. Answer: It was not a cause because the Americans were not involved in it.
3. Since you are currently living in Boston, 1768, do you feel that Americans should declare independence from England? Answer: I think that the Americans should declare independence because I do not feel that Britain is being fair about all of the laws that include paying extra money.

1. Which energy form was the easiest for you to find? I thought the easiest form of energy to find was motion energy.
2.Which energy form was the hardest for you to find? The definite hardest for me was finding elastic energy.
3.I thought my group worked well together when we were using all of each others ideas and we all helped. there was a lot of collaboration going on in our group. I don't think that we had any big challenges, except finding elastic energy.
