I know that they sent a shuttle that has nobody in it and is just for sights. I also know that Mars is known for it's red dust and has lot's of moons. That's about all I know though about Mars. In the video they said that if NASA makes a run to mars when they are overlapping the journey to mars will only take six months. 2. Two and a half years and the planet is 250,000,000 miles away and if they time it right it will only take six moths to get to mars without coming back home. 3.In the video one of the scientist said that they wouldn't bring to much food because the scientist said that like the people who walked across America in the earlier times they would not bring that much food they would make food when they got there and would cut down trees there not before they go. 4.I think that the risks would be that they would run out of air, starve, run out of water, or get killed by the radiation partials that bombard them. There also could be living animals like an alien that would rip apart a astronaut that is just in a space suit, even thought that would probably not happen at all. (Hey? Who knows!) 5. I would want to bring wood, seeds for plants, gallons of water building material, TNT and mining tools so that I can dig for minerals, maybe some animals or people to get stuff going on on the planet, the American Flag, and a ton of oxygen so that I could survive on the air. But, If all else fails, I would plant a LOT of plants to create an atmosphere strong enough to sustain life, leave for 5 years, and come back to try again! |

There were many things about this whole learning experience that scared me upset me and made me very happy. The main thing that surprised me was that 10% of people hog 85% of all the money of the world and I am one of them. I couldn't believe that I was one of them because that meant that I was taking money away from people. This meant I was having all the money in the world that people made pretty much. This also felt good because I am always worried if my house will get taken away or I won't get to go to collage or something like that. If something like that did happen...... I don't know what I would do. Another thing that made me super surprised was that in the village of 100 people that is alike the world has only 50 radio's and Mr.Solar said that some people could have 4 radio's. This made me surprised even more to go with that 45 people had TV's and that was the same situation as the radio's. Then 103% of 100 people had cell phones and some people might even have 6 cell phones. I can't believe this because what were all those people with no radio's no TV's and no phones? Then when it came to electricity then only 76 people had electricity. How could this be!!!!!!! What would the 24 people out of the 100 people live on. They would have a candle that would run all night while across the street if they even had a house would be warm and eating tables of food. The thing that most upset me was that some people were only making 2,000 dollars a year!!! How could that happen and how would they even live? They would have to pretty much eat ruble and live under bridges if they wanted anything in there life!!! This scared me so much and I couldn't even think if I was one of those people. I just couldn't believe how life was for some people in this village of only 100 people. Another thing that upset me so much that made me want to help this situation so much was that if everybody just split the making's so that everybody got the same amount nothing would ever happen were somebody would have to live under a bridge and eat the scraps of other people. What If I kept thinking to myself, what if. This was a very important situation to discuss. And I just really want to do something like donate money all the time. But I can't. In the picture below what would happen to all the people?!
