Mr. Solarz gave us a giant cookie bucket with water in it. There were two places that held water, one place holds cold water and the second space has hot water and has red food coloring. Then we got two Tempature Probes and put one in each space. Then we plugged them in the computer and pressed start. We were suprised that the hot temp. went down and the cold temp. went up. We thought that they wouldn't.

This year will be great because I have some great friends in here and I will be working hard.

I have learned a bunch of cool stuff in science. Like the 8 forms of energy.

The goals I am going to set myself are to read at least 10 chapter books this year. Also to listen hard and work really hard too.

I learned quite a bit about political parties in class today.  Here are some of the highlights:

• The names of the two political parties in the United States are called the Democratic Party and the Republican Party
• The smaller political parties are usually called Third Parties
  
• People who don't want to register as a member of a political party can register as Independent
  
• People who are registered members of a political party MUST vote for that party's candidate.
• Here are three things that active party members can do during a campaign to get votes for their candidate: They call neighbors, Hand Out Flyers, and even drive people to the polling places.
  
• George Washington was opposed to political parties because they called them factions and warned Americans against them.
  
• One final interesting fact I learned about political parties is there is no mention of political parties in the Constitution
  

This is an energy wheel with all the types of energy. There are 8 different types of energy right here. There is Gravitational Energy, Light Energy Heat Energy, Sound Energy, Electrical energy, Elastic Energy, Motion Energy, and Chemical Energy.
