I thought that this project was really fun! We had like 6 different 30 minute periods where we just sat down and wrote. We had to write about a mundane situation. If you don't know what mundane means, it means regular or normal situation. After we finished our stories we went onto garage band and recorded our stories and right after we finished doing that we just put it on our blogs.
On our earth day walk we walked around the school and looked at all the wonderful things blooming and budding. We all walked through the field looking at the different things sprouting. I wondered why the needles on the evergreen trees were so soft. Usually they are really pointy and they hurt but these needles actually sort of tickled. I can't believe how many things that I didn't notice before. I will definitely look at spring way different from now on.
Living things use water for many things. Like for example, some birds use rivers or lakes or ponds for a landing strip like an airplane on a airport runway. Some animals like seals, otters, and beavers drink water eat the stuff that lives in the water and most of the time live near or in the water. Fish pretty much live their whole lives in the water, they are born in the water and they die in the water, they drink water and they eat from the water and they also get their air from the water. Plants need the water to survive too you know, they normally get water from soaking up the water from the ground with their roots. Although some plants like a cactus soak up water like a sponge and store it, that is why they can live super long without much water. Many mammals like for example bears spend much of their time near the water. The reason of that is so they can catch fish which is one of the mainstays of their diet. There are many more ways that living things use water and this is only a fragment of the whole story.
The British ruled the Eastern Coast of what would be America. King Gorge Ⅲ abused his power and he also ruled the Central Coast except for Florida which was ruled by Spain. King Gorge Ⅲ made the Americans pay extra taxes for no reason. The land was very good for crops and still is. Many patriots wanted to declare Independence they would have to wait 10 years.
I think that the captain's limits on power should be that they should only be allowed to whip the crew if it is something really severe that they did, like for example getting into a fight with another sailor or rebelling. The captain would still have some of his original rights but with limits so he won't endanger the voyage. I think it is pretty unfair that they allow the captain to take away the rights of the sailors. It makes sense to punish them if they are slacking or being lazy or talking back, but I think that they should just punish that with more, harder work and not whipping.
So in conclusion, I think that the captains should have some of the same power but with limits on it.

I think the people make proverbs about water because water is endless. It is all around us, even in us and we don't notice it in our everyday lives. Water is neither created nor is it destroyed, it is endless. It will always be here even if we aren't.
