In class I made a graph of how many state senates voted for Obama or Romney I am not surprised that Obama won the presidential election because Obama got California which has 55 electoral college votes. I am surprised that Obama got 332 electoral college votes when he only needed 270.
In class my group made a poster on hydropower and we explained everything on the poster. It is very informative but is also very goofy from cartoons to little flowers all over. Pick hydropower for your energy source!
In class we went on polleverywhere.com and me and my party (Democratic) made a poll on which Democratic Health Care you would prefer for example we have Obama Care and other democratic plans. If we just put Other Health Care then the voters might think Republican Health Care is an option and we do not want voters to think that Republican Health Care is an option.
What makes leaves change their colors is the things inside them called pigments and chlorphyll. Every tree has different pigment's which makes them different colors.
Some trees like evergreen's don't give off their pine's at all. At school I made a glog on glogster.edu for my candidate that was running for president and if you hover over Glogster edu you can see my full screen glog. You could upload videos, put on graphic images, and put on pictures. It was really fun! I hope to do it again soon. Some of the people I saw at the Historical Reannactment were Martha (the wigmaker) and the man with the gun who was a scout or a ranger. The man with the blue bandana and the table with the tools was a station of a german woodmaker. The lady with the apron was a woman who worked at a newspaper stand and we saw how different letters were back then. The picture of the chalkboard was taken when we went to "school" and we sat on hay stacks. Some of the people not shown are a hunter and a fur trader and a person that told us our rights as if we were colonists. The field trip was really interesting and I learned a lot of new things.
On my picture graph the red line represents my insulated bottle which I insulated with felt, a paper bag and a type of quilt. The blue line represents the cold water that we put our insulated bottle in. We wanted to keep our insulated bottle warm. My insulated bottle stayed warm which is good. The cold water got a little warmer. The products I used are good insulators because they kept the warm water in the bottle warm as you can see from my data.
Happy Birthday Mr. Badynee!! In class we all individually made e-cards and sent them to Mr. Badynee over e-mail. This is a screen shot of my e-card that I made for Mr. Badynee online. If you click on click or on replay you can see the e-card I got him. This is 21st century because you usually make someone a card on a piece of paper but we wanted to do something Mr. Badynee would remember.
Mr. Badynee is important to Westgate and Mr. Solarz because Mr. Badynee lets Mr. Solarz do all of the 21st century stuff that would be hard for Mr. Solarz to do with a different principal. Mr. Badynee had made a bunch of great changes like new playground equipment, more 'tech' and he let us have twelve I Pad's in our classroom. In class I made a mad lib online using different parts of speech. At first I didn't know what the story was. It just made me pick a random adjective or a noun. I learned how to use different parts of speech because it asked me to click on a specific part of speech and I knew which one I needed to choose. At the end it showed me my story, it was really funny.
