Q1: What is your Revolutionary War Hero famous for? How did he impact the Revolutionary War?
A: George Washington was famous for winning the Revolutionary War. George Washington impacted the war because without him as the leader, I don't think the colonists would've beaten Great Britain.

Q2: Why do you think Mr. Solar had you do this project?
A: I think mr. Solarz made us do this project because he wanted us to learn how to divide something into smaller important sections.

Today we got to do a Nervous System experiment to test our sensory nerves. Someone threw a paper ball at another person who was holding up a plastic sheet to deflect the ball and we got to see their reaction to the ball.

Q #1: How did your body respond when the ball of paper was thrown at you?
A: When the ball was thrown at me I didn't flinch but I blinked as if there were something in my eye. I knew it wouldn't hit me but my nerves still reacted.

Q #2: How would this reflex protect your eyes if the plastic had not been there?
A: My nerves probably would've sent a message for my hands to react and catch the ball so it didn't hit me.

Q #3: Do you think the nervous system responded to catching the ruler and blinking in the same way? Why or why not? Were both senses used? Were muscles used in both? Did you have to think about both actions?
A: I think that my nervous system did respond the same way to catching the ruler and blinking when the ball was being thrown at me because my brain was telling me to do both actions. I don't think that muscles were used to make me blink though, because blinking doesn't require a muscle but catching a ruler in your hand requires muscles. I didn't think about blinking or catching the ruler because my brain just told my nerves to blink naturally and my brain told my muscles to move.
