It was harder to use the touch sense because it was hard to tell if someone was giving you a signal or if someone was brushing past you.You could only use the sense of smell if the ruler smelled really bad or if you were a dog with a good sense of smell. You could also only catch the ruler with the sense of taste if you put your tongh out.Your brain, nerves, and muscles help you to catch things by your brain inter-acting with your nerves telling your muscles to reach out or "work" to catch the things you want to catch or do other things in general.

In class today we made graphs for the amounts of candy colors in the jar of 100 candies.First our teacher split the candies and each partner groups got 10 candies. Then as a class all the partner-ships combined the information to find out the percent in the entire jar.We learned that the sample size depends on the claims you make. That means the whole is never a number the whole is the claim you make.
My 18th century job is an archer.People in the 18th century choose this job to hunt for food for there families and sell or use the animal skins. The other reason is that people would go to war as archers and help injure the enemy faster. Before being an archer you have to be an apprentice because you need to learn how to use a bow and arrows. There are other things you need to learn about being an archer like how to survive and track animals in the wild when hunting. (go to this cite to see other jobs)https://docs.google.com/a/student.sd25.org/presentation/d/1lI-Y5VsQB3bpXIDi-9Z1AfuRf41LPaVFFqkVobWZFa8/edit#slide=id.g52652ca5_27_0) (make sure you sign into google first!) I think I can do this job because it seems really cool and my dad and I go hunting and use a bow and arrows. In conclusion I think I am good for this job because I have experience with the things you have to do.
I have learned a lot about my energy source and others too.It was a very fun experience even though I lost against nuclear.I learned many interesting things about the way we use energy.I learned that there are other ways than the common energy sources(that interested me the most) like that you could use tides and waves to spin propellers and make energy. This lesson (a very long lesson) taught me the different ways the world makes energy.I'm sad that the energy debates are over but it was a really fun way to learn. Today in class we read a book on all the common energy sources and what they do.Since My group lost the energy debate it helped us understand the different groups energy source so we could be better judges. It also told us how the energy sources worked. The book also gave us examples of other things like a coal powered train that pullouts like coal. The real purpose of reading this book was to help us practice taking notes on a main purpose. Today in class we learned about different plans for energy sources besides, coal, oil, biomass, nuclear, wind, geothermal, and solar.Instead there are a few wacky ideas but some are quit brilliant. For example,Winds and tides, this is were scientist are putting turbines in the water and the turbines spin around when the tide or the waves pass converting it in to electricity. The person who created it is Roger Bedard.Sadly as the article said this energy source will never be very large. I think this energy source is very intelligent and people are using it now in the ocean near Great Brittan in 2012
This motivational poster and a packet explaining 21st century skills is helping me become a 21st century student by,telling me the responsibilities of a student that is self reliant and tries there best to fix there problem before asking others for help.It has shown me that if the responsibilities are taken seriously it can lead to people believing that you can be responsible and they can trust you more. It has also shown me that taking risks can make you feel more confident in other things than just school work. |
