I hope Mr.Solarz will see this because I think he has made fifth grade the best year for me.Even though he is tough I still think he is the best teacher ever!

In class today we did a project on graphing. We started out with cold and hot water. The Hot water was in the cup then we eventually dyed it red. The cold water was in the cookie jar. We put Temperture Probs into the hot and cold water. We really had to be careful because we did not want to move the Temperture Probs. We accsidently bumped the thermomiter are graph shoot up near the begining. We saw near the end the hot and cold tempetures crosed. The hot water was now cold and the cold was now warm. We ended the blue was the higher temperture.

First you have to have a procedure.Witch is a number of steps that describes how to perform a specific task.Then you do the actual fair test.For example,like we did in class, you can drop two balls at the same time and then you measure the height of how high the ball bounced in centimeters.You have to do this more than once to get the mean data.So you add up all your data then divide by how many numbers there are.For example 20+20=40 then 40/2=20 so 20  would be your mean for one ball then 30+20=50then 50/2=25 so 25 would be your mean for the other ball.Next you subtract 25 by 20 witch is 5.So your conclusion is,on average the ping pong ball bounced 5 centimeters higher than the basket ball.

This year will be great beacause we are being a 21st century class.That means we will get to do things in a diffirent way,we will do progects instead of worksheets and we will have sience experiments.So far we have learned about energy.There are different types of energy eight to be exact.There is elastic,motoin,light,heat,gravitational,chemical,sound,electrical,and solar.The goals I have set for myself are,don't forget homework,don't forget your lunch box,and try to be more mature during school.My advise would be that it's not as bad as you think.You DO NOT get alot of homework.

I learned quite a bit about political parties in class today.  Here are some of the highlights:

• The names of the two political parties in the United States are called the Republican and the Democratic.
• The smaller political parties are usually called third parties.
  
• People who don't want to register as a member of a political party can register as  a staff member.
  
• People who are registered members of a political party DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO vote for that party's candidate.
• Here are three things that active party members can do during a campaign to get votes for their candidate:They call neighbors to get them to vote,send out flyers,and drive people to places to vote.
  
• George Washington was opposed to political parties because,he was afraid of the nation getting split.
  
• One final interesting fact I learned about political parties is there symbols because they are interesting.
  

This is a picture of an energy wheel that we made based on the pictures that we took of energy.There are eight types of energy,gravitational,light,heat sound,elastic,electrical,motion,and chemical.We organized the pictures in the catagories.
