W worked hard for at least two weeks to finish our stories in class I even worked on mine at home. This story is about a young girl that wishes for no rules and "kerpoof!" Her wish comes true! She faces a bunch of weird things that go on around town and in her house! Then after all the fun things she experiences she notices she needs laws and rules to control things.
For my Science Fair project I had to make paper to find out which pieces pieces of paper mixed together would make the best stationary to write on. It turned out that note book paper and construction paper mixed together made the best stationary to write on. It was very fun mixing the different types of paper together in the blender and it made this gross gooey pulp. Then I had to get the pulp on a splatter guard then let it dry. Then it made paper! I had to do this Multiple times in order to get different types of paper.(I did change the video and it is no longer private.)
Reflection on finding water on the U.S.A map and t by D25erin3593 on GoAnimate Video Maker - Powered by GoAnimate. In class today we recorded our selves reading our stories that we worked on for a long period of time. They are about, ordinary people in an ordinary situation that turns into a big problem that in the end gets fixed or doesn't. When we were finished we made a podcast of us reading our story.
Julius Sterling Morton was the creator of Arbor Day. He was born on April 22, 1832 and died on April 27, 1902. He was born in New York and raised in Detroit. He graduated from the University of Michigan. After receiving his diploma in 1854 he moved to Nebraska with his wife after arriving there he became the editor off the local newspaper. Then for a short period of time served in the Nebraska Tutorial House of Representatives. Then was the Secretary of Nebraska Territory, after that he was the governor of Nebraska. He built 52 room mansion witch was supposed to look like the white house witch is now called Arbor Lodge. Arbor day all started because of His Interest and fascination in trees. He started planting very rare apple trees and instruction of farming and foresting.Because of this he was offered a job on the State Board of Agriculture. On January 4, 1872, Morton first had the idea for a tree-planting holiday to be called "Arbor Day" at a meeting of the State Board of Agriculture. The date was set for April 10, 1872. Prizes were offered to counties and induviduals for planting properly the largest number of trees on that day. It was guessed that more than one million trees were planted in Nebraska on the first Arbor Day.
In class, for Earth day, we took a walk outside around our school to take pictures of our environment around us. We did this because it shows us how beautiful our world is and so, that encourages people help save it. It it encourages them by showing them that if we don't pollute the world we live in now can stay beautiful and we can live in a better place.
