I thought it was hard to find all of the different sled dog races but we found one of the biggest the Iditarod race it is one of the biggest most longest race ever. I did this project because I love dogs and I recently was at a dog sledding convention where they showed us a sled dog how they harnessed one and what a race looks like.

Sci Tech Museum

We went to the Sci Tech museum I reported on the Tornado and why and how it worked.(Its not real) I thought it was really fun to go and see what things do what they do and why they do it. It was pretty fun that we got to spend the whole day there learning and exploring all of the cool,funky,fun and weird things.

Katie's State of Nature Story- The very worst day ever

This is my state of nature story it is about a girl and how she wished that there were no laws or rules but when that does happen she has to go though a long hard adventure and wishing for those laws and rules back. I thought that it was super duper fun to do this story I liked how we got to kinda lead where the story went with out a lot of rules or rules to tell us that we can't do that or that. I loved writing these story's because it was easier to be more creative with are writing and since my class is 21 century it is cool that we used http://voicethread.com/.

Science Fair

I thought that the science fair was a big success it was really fun to do my project and to present it to my school. I thought that it was hard to have to keep saying the same thing over and over but it was still fun to do my project so know I know that if you study with all peace and quite without any distractions is the best!!

Humans can use the water that melts from the glaciers on the mountains for fresh water. And it is easy too.

W.E.X Story

I think that getting to write your own story with a help with the characters and settings and all of that is a great feeling. I liked doing this project because it was fun to be the character and have all of these bad things happing when you know that it will be good at the end. I also like doing the podcast I think since Mr. Solarz's class is twenty first century classroom it is a good idea to use garage band and to read are storys out loud with are emotion it makes it easier for the reader to feel the characters emtion to instead of just reading a story and not using any emtion.

Happy Arbor day in class today we found out how arbor day got started!!! The first Arbor Day was on April 10, 1872. Arbor day encourages people to plant trees. The man who created it was Julius Sterling Morton he was the one to create arbor day. He was born in Adams, Jefferson County, New York, April 22, 1832. Millions of people celebrate April 22 as Earth Day the week of earth day for the week we start it off with earth day and end it with Arbor day. but for more than 100's of years April 22 is the birthday of Julius Sterling Morton who first proposed Arbor Day as a tree-planting holiday in Nebraska in 1872.
Nebraska was mostly plains and practically treeless awards were given to those who planted the most trees on that first Arbor Day. More than 1 million trees were planted on the first day of Arbor Day.
