First we went to a man's station. He told us about the things you use to survive. At the next This man was involved in fur trade and told us how it provides money and other goods for people. There was quite a few more people like the inn keeper she told us about what happens at the inn. We also met a teacher, I learned that punishments were harsh back then. When we came to my person (in the picture above) he told us about the things you needed to find lengths of land. This trip was interesting and fun and I learned a lot of new things.
1. What was the most surprising thing you learned about energy during this entire unit?
Something I thought was surprising to me was that all of this can happen by different forms of electricity. 2. Why is energy important? Energy is important because it helps us with things like putting water in a cup. 3. Where is energy found? Energy is found everywhere. For example when a ball drops it is gravitational energy. 4. How would you define energy? I wound define energy as a example of 9 energies that power, move, heat and light and much more. There are meany different colors of leaves, there are also meany ways they change color. Hear are some of thous ways. The reason that a leaf can be green is throughout spring and summer the green hue comes from a chemical chlorophyll, this color is vital to photosynthesis. Along with green, there are yellow and orange colors, carotene and xanthophyll, inside some trees' leaves. For most of the year, these colors are are covered by chlorophyll, but as the chlorophyll breaks down and the green color dissipates, the yellow and orange colors become visible. Another color` that occurs in leaves is the red or Anthocyanins. Anthocyanins, unlike carotene and xanthophyll, are not in leaves year-round. It isn't until the chlorophyll begins breaking down that the plant begins to synthesize anthocyanin. Very acidic sap results in a bright red color, while less acidic sap leads to a purplish red. The humdrum or brown color is the result of waste products trapped in the leaves. In the Revolutionary War the English army had trained soldiers and better guns. They also had a very large amount of soldiers (almost 10 times more than us.) On the other hand we had soldiers that were just men with guns, not trained at all. We had very little soldiers for an army and they had inexperienced generals. England should have won the Revolutionary War. Surprisingly us the Americans won this Revolution. The reason I think we won the Revolutionary War is the motivation and the prize of independence that we would earn.
After The Tug-Of-War: In the tug-of-war we had the red team (British), the blue team (Americans I was on the blue team), and the white team (French). We also had one German Hessian that helped out the red team. There was a slave that got nothing on the red team and the blue team. Mr. Solarz told my team that we would get a prize of independence A.K.A. a home work pass and chair pass. The red team almost won before the French cam to help just like in the real war. It all turned around when the French came to help. Comparing Light Bulbs With Differences in Wattage
My Reflection: I learned that on a light bulb the smaller the number of watts is the longer it lasts that is because the more watts it has the more energy it uses. Comparing Different Types of Light Bulbs With Similar Wattage
My Reflection: I learned that the Incandescent 25 watt light bulb is hotter. This is true because it dosn't use a lot of energy on light but more on heat. I was very surprised on how long the CFL light bulb lasted. I was surprised because that means that the light can last almost a year. Comparing Different Light Bulbs With Different Lumans
My Reflection: Even though the Incandescent 100 Watt light bulb has a larger Light Output and a larger Heat Output is larger the CFL 24 Watt light bulb lasts longer.
My KWHLAQ
My Reflection In the passion time proses I learned meany things. Including all the differences and similarities. I am very happy with how my website came together. I listed every thing I learned in a T-chart under the pictures I chose.
I just met Captain John Ira Parke for the first time. He is an interesting man and he is very very intelligent well he sounds intelligent, he likes mathematics and he enjoys being a Surveyor. A Surveyor is a person that helps get information for map makers.I looked at some of the maps he made and I noticed the different things on the map, some small things. We didn't talk much today but he seems interesting and he seems serious and stern but I am looking forward to seeing him again at Olive Mary Stitt on our field trip!!!
The thing that was most easy for me in the last 3 was walking around and taking pictures. That was easy for me because it is easy to take pictures of people doing there work. The hardest part has been limiting the number of pictures. That has been hard for me because I don't want to leave anyone out of the pictures but you do not want a lot of pictures to upload. The most fun part has been guessing where the other class room is. This has been fun because the other class cheers for us. Nothing has been boring unless you count the google doc not working. This may be considered boring because you can't work on the doc and it loads for a long time. The job I have is a photographer. I do my job by walking around the class room and I take pictures of other people doing there jobs. My advice for people that have my same job in the future is the more pictures you take the harder it is to upload. What job would you like next? Why? I would like to be a signer. I would like to be a signer because I get to tell the class we are Skyping the stuff they need to know.
