1. They began about 30 degrees away from each other and then near the end of the last 15 minutes they were about they same.
2.Overtime the cold water began to become more like room temp because the water did not have ice in it anymore and the room was about 70 degrees making it warm up. Also it was touching the warm water making it warm up.
3. The warm water overtime started to cool down because it was above room temp and it was touching the cold water.
4. My graph showed that overtime they both started to even out and become the same temp.
5.After fifteen minutes I noticed that they started to even out.
6. The thing that happened was that it started to cool down. This happened because it was colder than room temp and it was touching the warm water.
7.The thing that happened was that it started to warm up. This happened because it was warmer than room temp and was touching the cold water.
8. I believe that in another 5 minutes they would start getting closer and closer until they were both the same temp. Then they would both start going up.
9. It didn't really because the food coloring can't travel through cups, but the heat can be transferred through the cup into that cold water. This happened because the heat energy is trying to go to the sides so it doesn't go into the water it goes into the water.
