Hands on Algebra is where we had pictorial algebra there were 4 symbols: -number +number -x and +x. Then we have problems on a sheet like 6+x and +5 = 4+x and +7, 1+x = +___. Then we would solve these problems on a worksheet that has 20 problems on them. We would only get a few minutes to finish all the problems. If you finished them all correctly you got to check other people's papers. But there only got to be 5 people who check other people's papers, and if you got one problem wrong you couldn't be a checker for that round.
