What is "Genius Hour"? Genius hour is a movement that allows students to explore their own passions and encourages creativity in the classroom. It provides students a choice in what they learn during a set period of time during school. A recap of the hour long discussion can be found here: http://imagination.is/2014/07/got-genius-google-hangout-recap/#.U9VRU15JaXR While checking out the tweets of one of my Twitter colleagues, @MrsMorgansClass, I noticed that she used Remind to send out text messages or emails before each #2ndchat and so I decided to do the same for #5thchat. (Turns out it was @BevLadd who started the idea with #2ndchat.) Ben Brazeau blogged about doing the same for #sstlap here: http://timetravelingteach.weebly.com/sstlap/balancing-expectations-with-engagement
