Last summer when I was 10 it was a nice day out and i was really bored so i took my dog Zoey out for a little makeover day so i took my brother Connor and my grandpa out side to help me with washing Zoey. I remember that we could hear the birds chirping and the fountain trickling. I grabbed the hose, The coconut scented doggie soap, her chicken flavored tooth paste,a old toothbrush, some towels,a blow dryer,And her leash. Then I told Connor to hold Zoey's leash so she won't run away, Then i grabbed the hose and sprayed her. Next I squeezed some of the coconut scented doggie soap all the way down her back. After that i rub all of the soap all over her body after that i turned the hose back on and sprayed her till all the soap was gone, Then all of the sudden Zoey started to shake and me my brother Connor and my grandpa got all wet. so we grabbed the hose and started having a spray off with her and once we finished i gave her a big hug and she felt all wet soon after every one went inside i took the toothbrush and the toothpaste and brushed her teeth and gave her another big hug followed by a big kiss on the head. then started to dry her off with the towels and then followed by the blow dryer. After that I let Zoey inside and a sat out there for a few more minutes and thought that was really fun and I was glad i did it
Hover over the buttons and click them to see a video about that thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is our rev war hero famous for Molly Pitcher was famous for her heroic actions in the Battle of Monmouth Because her husband was not able to battle because of the heat so she took his cannon and started to shoot it a few days later General George Washington came by the camp after he heard about the heroic actions of molly and award her a name of Sargent Molly. I think Mr Solarz had us do this project because we were already learning about the Revolutionary War so it was an easier way to learn about the revolutionary war then to learn about the great heros of the Revolutionary War.
In class we were exploring a common reflex on our eyes. First what we did was take a overhead-transparent and held that up to our face while our partner had a crumpled up paper ball and threw it at me. So then we wrote down are reaction and mine was a flinch. If the overhead-transparent was not there I would have ducked down to protect myself.I think this reflex is called blink reflex.
Today in class we did an exprimetent the digestive process. We had to cups called Blood stream 1 and Blood stream 2.To do this expriment we used enzymes (meat tenderizers) and gelatin. we mixed the enzymes in with the gelatin and we watched it,during that we have a cup that just had gelatin in it. For the first fifteen minutes nothing really happend to the gelatin, but the enzymes was sort of like making a bubble. After that fifteen minutes we had another fifteen minutes and during that th enzymes and gelatin were seperating and it also was leaking through the coffe flitter. I think that the enzymes chanced the first cup because it started to leak a whole bunch and the gelatin didn't leak as much.
On January 30 we went to the Field Museum. During the second half of our field trip we went up stairs to a metorite lab. There we met Jim he was one of the people there who worked with the metorites. That whole time we talked about metorites and carters. I Think we took a day off for that because it was so cool to hear about metors and the different tpyes. We even learnd there was a metorite that came down into a farmers farm and it was so heavy they had to build the tourist atrraction around the metorite, soon it became lighter because people kept taking a little bit to take home with them. I think that it is a good idea to spend money to research on these metorites because it is important to learn about whats up in space and why it came down and it is also cool to just see it and learn about the history of were it landed
On January 30 we went to the Field Museum. During the first half before lunch we went to see the earth and the development of the earth its self. We went to see all about the dinosaurs and all the extinction that has happened since the world started. We even got to touch the oldest thing we will ever touch a meteorite that came down when the earth was just being created. During the tour are docinte Dennis he told us all about the dinosaurs and the being of the world. During the whole morning I think that the whole purpose off taking off that day of school because in the next unit were going to learn about the earth and how all of the water got there. Dennis told us about how sciencist's are trying to find out how the water on earth got there like the 7 oceans.
In class today we were doing an expriment with breathing and straws. We had 2 different tpyes of straws one was a wider straw and the other was a thin straw. Some of the activites for the wide straw was Sting in our chair, Walking around the classroom and Jumping jacks, the activites for the thinner straw were Siting in our chair. Some of the activites were hader to do then the others because we were breathing through a hole the width of your pinkie.Breathing through the wide straws made it a little easier to breathe through because it was a bigger hole to breathe through. Breathing throught the thin straw was harder then breathing through the wide straw because it is a smaller hole to breath through. I thought the reason why my teacher asked us to breathe through the thin straw for only 20 seconds because if we did it for a minute we would become light headed from not enough oxgen flow. Breathing changes when you become more active because your heart is beating faster and all of our other body parts need more oxegen to keep them moving properl
In class today we did an activity with our heart. I think the largest average was the RUNNING AROUND one. Because I ran around the experiment. The activity that was the least was completely still because our not doing anything and also that one is the hardest to hear. The order I ranked them were good because it went easy to harder. Because being still is easy then jumping then jogging in place then jogging around the room then running around the room. The harder the activity the higher the heart rate. Our heart rate changes when you do different things because it is more active things moving In passion time I have been doing various things like Scratch,Story Cubes, and Garage band. So far I have loved garage band more than the others. Passion time to me is were you can do what you love to do and share it with other people who want to try it. Also passion time is a time the part of the day where we can relax and do what we like to do. |
