I think that we are moving west for many reasons and I will explain the reasons that I think. One of them are that the soil was very rich and a lot better than the rocky soil to the east. It was also a lot cheaper than the soil that was in the east. Another reason was that It was very hard to find good and well paying jobs, and just jobs in general in the east than in the west. Also a lot of bandits and outlaws were in the west because they could often escape their justice easier when they got there. It was often very overcrowded in the east cities too so it caused them to move to the west.
Reflection
I think that others are heading to the west for the same reasons we are. Some people looking to find gold and become rich, while others go west for the perfect and rich soil and the very low cost to set up a farm there. There are also lots of job opportunity's that pay well compared to the east side of the states. I am Alfred Age and I am from Norway. I am very interested in going on the Oregon Trail because It is a new experience and I think there will be lots of challenges along the course of the trip.
