I think that this lesson is a good lesson because it taught me about how different activities can change your heart rate, even comparing just standing to lying down. Some are obvious though, like lying down to push-ups. You would think that doing push-ups would increase your heart rate. But it just makes you work harder, so your heart works faster to get the oxygen, nutrients and water to the body.

| Reflection Answers: - The physical activities really increased my heart rate. But like I said, the heart needs to get oxygen to the body faster. - The ones that decreased my heart rate were the ones where you are just lazy, sort of sitting around, not doing anything physical. Your body just doesn't need the oxygen as fast. -It's not accurate, as you can see. I ranked them in which I thought they would end up, but jogging in place was the mess-up. I thought it would be skyrocketing. But only maybe running in place could get a higher heart rate. - I could feel everything working harder. My chest was almost burning, with my lungs getting oxygen, my heart pumping blood to the body. I just could feel it going up. - It just goes up when your body needs more oxygen, water, and nutrients faster. So the blood pumps it to wherever needs it. |
