Some crazy things have been happening, but this is just out of control. I signed up for a trip to Mars, Not a trip back in time. Well, you are not going to beleive this and it is true, so here is the story of how I now am in 1848.
    I knew that we would have to leave becuase of this water problem. But this is now a once in a life oppurtunity, literaly. Mars was lined up with the earth so then we could get back in a week. I know... it's too good to be true but, it wasn't. We decided to use some of the fuel that we got on Mars. I mean, useless so what else would we do with it. But whoever thought of that is not the smartest of the bunch because that made us get there in 10 minutes, and for anyone that thinks that it is a good thing in wrong because...Ok lets reflect first, first, it takes us 6 monthes and now 10 minutes, thats just not right. And it wasn't because we were going so fast that we've just broke the light barrier, faster than the speed of light. So Albert Einstein had a theory that if you went faster than the speed of light you would go back in time, but he never got to do it becuase it was imposible, and what do you know he was right about it along with all of the other things that he was also correct on. (smarty pants)
   And behold, us in the 1840's
   So these people just asked us if we wanted to go on the westward movment with them. I am a little hestitant with this becuase last time I signed up for something like this it did not turn out how it was supposed to. And back in Iceland, I studied this and all I can say is I am not a fan of canoblism(did I spell that right?)
      Well there's nothing else to do, so why not.

I'm scared, really really scared. This can't be really happening. But... it is.
     I had a feeling this would be scary. But not this scary. Not report card scary. Death scary. We have only three weeks left on Mars. Well four if someone can get back with this water. But at the most 28 days of life. I thought that this would be a little it easier. But WE'RE RUNNING OUR OF WATER. This can't happen. Mars isn't supposed to be a graveyard. It's supposed to be a place that we can discover and learn from our mistakes.
   Hey, this is bad enough having to drink others pee (Eww) and soon our pee is going to be mostly poisin. Well, we've been thinking of doing some of the other ideas. Some more sanitary ideas I think. I have barely been working on this big problem. Well really I have been helping the others with doing some things. With the plants. I'm not very into this so don't ask me any questions about this because all I am is worried sick. I don't know really any ideas besides taking stuff from the ship. But then how do we get back? AHHH this is not going how I thought it would and I am sort of thinking of regreting this. Who's with me? But I know that we can't. 
    Okay, this is getting a  little better. 65% of water. Not bad. If you're on earth here's what I've got to tell you:

It stinks that there is not a UPS truck that can be here.

      We just blasted of from Earth. I know that we will not be on Mars for a few years but I am sure that it will come much faster than I think it is going to take. I am very scared to get to Mars but I know that once I get there it will be a lot better. I am very excited to talk to the other 21 colonists. I know that a person named Ira Mathews is going to be there, too. She is a architect from Brazil. I wonder she is going to be nervous just like I am.

      Right now I am regretting doing this but I know that it will be for the better in the end. I am working on designing some of the useful ways to get around but I am sort of worried that none of this is going to end up working. What if no one likes what I design ? Or maybe people will like it...but the builder can't build it. They're all things that could happen but only one if them is really going to happen, it's just finding out what is going to happen is the hard part. I know that I am a little worried right now but, almost anything can happen on Mars. Things can go wrong and I think that there are also things in the weather that can be dangerous. I am sure that I am not the only on that is so worried...Right?

        I don't really know how this is going to work out, I mean really years in a spaceship. We will be celebrating everyones birthday, What? like 7 times each. 7 times 21 that is...147, I got a feeling that we are all going to get tried of celebrating birthdays by the end of this. And that is not my only worry what of the spaceship crashes or something, and I know that it is going to get pretty smelly in this thing after 7 years, are we going to stop on every planet that we pass and we can and clean this big piece of metal off? Well we can't do that because like I just said, this big thing that I am living on for 7 years is made out of metal and water+metal=rust and rust= major spaceship problem. I guess that I will ask Jose' ,the waste manager about the cleaning system in this thing.

     Well in a few days I am sure that I will be writing again, about be worried because something has happened in the where we have to land on Venus or somthing. I am sure that it won't happen but you never really know.

     

         I can not wait until I leave in our trip to Mars. I have no clue what the surface if Mars is going to be so I am very excited to find out what it is like so I can start to create transportaion that will help us when we get there and thaat will also be able to help us get around Mars when we do get there. I know that it will take a while to get there but I know that when we do get there it will be a great time and we will be able to create some things that will be great for Mars.

          I am so excited to go to Mars for a few years but for me leaving my family is going to be very hard to do. I am sure that I will miss my family alot. My family supported me the whole time and they all knew that I would be able to do this. My family loves and cares alot aobut me but I am sure that they will handle well and we will miss each other but soon enough they willl be on Mars, too.

         I can't wait until I can start to interact with Ira Mathews who is a archetect. I think that I will work very hard with her becuase she a archetect and we can give each other ideas about designing our things that we both make, since I am a transpotation specialist and will be busy designing new forms of transportaion. I will also be with the energy creater alot because then we can work together and we can found out what form of enrergy is going to work the best for the transporation that I will be making. 

      I wanted to join the space colony so bad because I knew that I could make a difference on Mars and think of different ways to get around that will make it so Mars does not turn into Earth. I had no clue that one day I would be able to make a difference. I have always been interested in the planets and Mars was always my favorite one of all.

     A few days ago I was packing up my things and I became very worried that I would forget one of my most important tools. Or my most important tool that I use, My grid paper and my pencils. I use them all the time. So I called my brother and he talked to me for a while then told me not to worry. I started to pack again and I double checked my bag when I was done.
