Wow! What a crazy turn of events! We ended up not finding enough water on Mars, so we decided to go back to earth. We used the extra energy we have made on Mars, and tried to make it there in a week. Well, it ended up we went a little too fast, like faster than the speed of light fast! And here's the catch: we went so fast that we ended up going back in time to 1848! We met some people following the Oregon Trail, and they inviting us to come with them! I have not a clue about 1848. I hope someone does. We still need to figure out if we are going to go with them or not. I just think that we have nothing to lose. Just another adventure. I guess I should be used to all the unlucky things that happen to us.
I am breathing heavily as I write this. I am concerned that I might faint, but I do have my Life Alert neclace with me. Let me explain our situation. We have had a problem with water. At this moment, we have three weeks left of water untill we either die or go back home. I have been working on the issue by discussing with some commities on what they are doing and also brainstorming other ideas. There has been many ideas pitched. There has been one about going to the North Pole and colecting ice to melt. This idea has been put into action. We are also going to use our urine and turn it back into water, and also use our poo. I know, I know, it sounds extremely grose, but hey, we want to survive. There is also many ideas about using avaporated water that comes up and catching it. I hope I can start working on this because it sounds intersting to me, and isn't grose. I think we should leave the grose things to the boys! I REALLY hope we can solve this problem so we can stay on Mars and NOT DIE!
When I walked into that spaceship, seeing all the fabulous technology in there, I knew that this was the right decision. I knew that this journey to Mars would be the experience of a lifetime! At first, I didn't know where to go, what to do! There was so much to do! I decided to get a bite to eat.
I had someone direct me to the kitchen, were I met the chef. Her name is Nicoletta. She gave me a muffin and said,"Nice to meet you, Christine!" I could tell that she was Italian because of the way she said it. I was walking around, eating my muffin, trying to remember my way through the place, when I pumped into a friendly looking women. "Sorry", we said at the same time. There was a weird pause. "Um, I'm Christine. And you are?" "Kristin" she said. We shook hands. That day I met my first few friends on the spaceship, and I hope to keep them. I also hope to meet many more. I just finished saying goodbye to all my co-workers. It has been hard to say goodbye, because I'm leaving for 7 years, and maybe more! I've never had to do something this hard. But, I know it will be a great experience to live on Mars. I am really excited to meet the chef from Italy, Nicolette. She sounds like a very interesting woman. I hope she makes good food, because that's what I'll be eating for a long time. I also look forward to meeting the Transportation Specialist from Iceland. Her name is Kristin Gotta. I've always wondered what Iceland was like. But sadly, I can't visit it because I'm going to live on Mars! I hope Mars isn't too much different from Earth, but I look forward to discovering new things there. Right now I'm feeling excited, but a little bit disappointed about leaving Earth.
