SurfaceWater Sand Concrete Dirt Rug Grass | PredictionI think that the water will fall in the water then just "blend" with the rest. I think that the water will dry up when it is on the sand for a while. I think the water will sort of bounce a little, then flow to the bottom of the cup. I think that the water will get soaked by the dirt, similar to a towel. I think what happened with the dirt will happen with the rug. The grass is like dirt, so I expect the same. But it might appear a bit more moist. | ActualThe drops of water, when they met the water in the cup, made bubbles and morphed in with the water in the cup. What happened is that the water dried up a little, but it also eroded the sand and made a crater. The water turned the concrete a little darker, and just laid there. You could see a little puddle on the concrete. I was right! The dirt soaked up the water. Of course, the dirt was a little moist afterwards. The water was soaked up more like a towel than the dirt. I was correct! It was a lot like dirt. It did look more wet then the dirt, like I predicted. | ReflectionI knew that the water would become a part of the water, but I didn't know about the bubbles that it made! That made me a little surprised. You could see where the water landed because the sand turned a little darker. I think that some of the water went in the sand. Nothing like I thought happened! I didn't know the concrete would appear dark. And I didn't know the water wouldn't bounce! I didn't know I would be right. The dirt soaked the water like a towel, just like I predicted! I thought what would happen with the dirt would happen with the rug, but with the rug, you couldn't see where you dropped water! It was a huge surprise when I saw the grass more moist. I predicted that, but I didn't know it would be that moist. |
