What Do I Know

I really don't know much about my question,but I do know that you have to be strong.

What Do I Want To Know?

I want to know all the science behind hitting a home run.

How Do I Find Out?

I will find out my question by,seeing what they have on the web.

What Have I Learned?

I have learned that you need to be a great baseball player to hit homers.It is pretty fun when you do.

What Action Will I Take?

I will tweet about my website (more my dad). I would also put it on face book (my mom will do that) and tell my friends.

What New Questions Do I Have?

Why do you need to coil your body? Why do you need to be strong? Why is baseball so hard?

My Reflection:

This was a really fun activity.It is fun because I like to learn about the thing i learned about. I also can use these facts to improve my game in baseball. It was a little frustrating that we only got two days a week to do the most fun project. Luckily we do this all year. This was my first one so I think I will be a lot better at the end of the year. Something were hard like making a website there was a lot of steps.

This is important because if you follow through on this some of the worst hitters on a base ball team will know the science of hitting a home-run

I was a little confused as to when you said that you have to be strong. I could argue, because you could not hit it too far and then make it all the way home. It doesnt all depend on the hitter, but the outfield too.

Is it all about being strong? More things you could consider is finding out the weight of the bat, the angle at which you swing the bat, and where to hit the ball.

I liked how you made this project baseball is my favorite sport and yes there is a lot to consider before hitting a home run. You always have to keep your eye on the ball. But you did a good job showing the tactics on how you do hit one.

I guess you would have to be a little strong,but I do know I get stance for hitting like line drives. I think it is Yasiel Puig's stance.

Your project was very interesting and It made me think. As Natalie said, you don't always need to hit it far to hit a homerun. Your topic was a good choice!

I agree with the other coments, your title is the "science" of hitting a home run. Being strong is really science, and you don't have to be strong to hit a home run. What is the SCIENCE of hitting a home run?

This is a very interesting topic because, as a baseball player, there are lots of people wondering about this topic. I found myself wondering, what can you do to get more strength? What workouts can you do? I also want to say you should also maybe research the information a little bit more because from watching other players, swinging up doesn't make the ball fly higher, usually they just end up fouling the ball off, or if they're lucky, they hit a ground ball. The players I see hit home runs, have a level swing. Also get more into what they need to do with their legs and hips, like if raising your leg when you step to hit the ball generates more power, or how far their legs should be spread apart in their batting stance. All in all, very good project, I'm very interested to see how this project ends.

Thank you so much. To get stronger very night I just do 10 push-ups and 10 crunches. I will keep trying to make my website better with more and more facts. Also probably some of your opinios to make my website better. also our project is over but I am still adding on my website.

I think you are right about many things in your video and your reflection is great, but you don't have to be strong to hit a homerun. It helps to be strong, but is not a requirement.

You seem to really know what you're talking about, but it's not all about strength. As a softball player, I get that baseball and softball are different in many ways, but you can use some of the same strategies. I would, personally, say that momentum is far more important. Take it from me, I'm not very strong at all. Yet, since I use a lot of momentum, I hit doubles and triples often. It also depends on the type of team your playing, how deep your fielders are playing, their skill level, how fast they can run, etc. It might also depend on the brand of bat you use. Like, for example, I now use a Demarini bat and it works far better than the one I use to have. It also depends on the angle that you hit it, like you said. I think that this is a good, strong topic that I'm fascinated by. I hope that you update often and I'll be sure to check it out frequently. This seems like a very creative topic and I can't wait to see what you can think of next or where this might lead you to(:
