We know that there are 8 planets and that each one orbits the sun. We also know that each planet is different from another one.

What we want to know is how all of the planets orbit the sun. We also want to know why the planets orbit the sun in the first place.

What we are going to do is research how and why the planets orbit the sun and then make a model of them doing so.

We are learning how to work together better and why and how the planets orbit the sun. We are also learning responsibility.

We are going to teach people about the planets by making a video about it.

What made the Big Bang happen?

How had the planets not formed earlier, right after the Big Bang?

Will any more planets be created?

Our Reflection:

Drew: I am very proud of the model that me and Emma made. I think that we learned a lot about working together and sometimes having to switch to do something that you don't want to do. It was very fun! Anybody that is a teacher that is looking at this please try and work on doing passion time. Its a great way of learning while you get to do what you want to do.

Emma: I had a great time doing this Passion Time Project. It was fun because before I did this, I didn't know much about the Solar System or the planets. Now, I think I know more than I ever have about it. It was fun to to work with Drew, and I definitely thought that this was a fun passion time project.

This was a very cool and hard passion time project that you did great on! I have a couple of suggestions though. One suggestion is that in a few videos there were mess up videos connected to the Awesome really cool ones. Also I think I could have gotten more out of the reflection because it is a little short. But with a few set backs this passion time project was very cool! Keep up the good work!

I wonder if you could have looked at the camera more because you were kind of looking down t the i pad the whole time. I thought you did a very good job thought because your model looked amazing and you facts were all pretty accurate it seemed.

Hello from Canada! I'm a grade 10 student from Ms. Lees class in BC Canada and I was asked to give a bit of feedback on your class's projects. I have to say, I'm quite impressed! your model of the solar system looks wonderful and the interactive picture with videos embedded was also very creative. I really like the interactive picture because I had fun clicking on each planet and seeing what you had to say about it. However, I do have a few suggestions on improving your project. Firstly, you should just allow yourself to improvise in front of the camera.I found that for a number of videos, you just looked at your script instead of the camera. Don't be afraid to mess up! Multiple takes are a common thing. As long as you know the information by heart, you should be able to just say what you want. Overall, it is a great project! Keep it up!

Thanks Fredrick! One of our other comments talked about looking down at the camera a lot, and I watched some of our videos. Then I realized that they were 100% right. Drew and I are definitely going to work on that for future Passion Projects.
