Today we needed to pick and choose what food we need to bring on are long journey. We came up with a really long list of food, so we need to decide which ones are most needed because we can't carry everything! We were thinking,sugar with mollases, dried fruit, flour, tea, rice, beans, bacon in barrels with bran, coffee, tea, yeast, potatoes, water, spices, cornmeal,eggs, salt, pepper, baking soda, whiskey, brandy, quinine. We also had to come up with different medicines to bring with us. We were bringing different foods because apparently, they help us feel better. We came up with, Flaxseed for poison ivy,olive oil for bee stings, onions for small pox, clean bandages/grease for burned skin, whiskey and tobacco for snake bites, marshmallow weed (Purifies water) for skin infections, boiled blackberry roots for diarheah, mustard for poisoning, and camphor. These all help us feel better. We hope we make the right choices and have good consequences.
