I think we should have a couple of people help with this problem. They are Katherine Diaz, Dominik Richtofen, Alfred Age, and Caroline Peter.
- Katherine is an explorer and she could find an area on Mars that isn’t as cold as the others because then it will be easier to live there instead of having a really cold place to live.
- Dominik could help because he is a Tailor and he can create a space suit or some sort of clothing to wear. The temperatures are extremely cold on the surface of Mars so we need to make sure the suits and/or clothes we wear are prepared for intense weather because it is Mars.
- Alfred can help because when he builds the buildings he can make sure we have heat in the buildings and houses so if our doors get frozen shut then we could put on the heat to have the snow or anything else melt so that we can get out.
- And Caroline can help by making a chemical, that works by heating things up, like the little hand warmers you get at a sports game outside in the fall.
What we Learned
We learned that the temperature on Mars is usually around -67℉ which is very cold! Another thing that we learned was that if the doors to our houses or any of the buildings get frozen then we need another way out so if this happens then we will have a plan. We also learned that the warmest soil temperature on Mars is 81℉ so there is a possibility that you can plant stuff on Mars without it dying because of the cold weather. Even though the average temperature is -67℉ there is warm soil on the planet. I don't know if the plants would grow though because the air is cold as well.
