Well the color changing of leaves all starts in the part of April when it starts raining. The rain starts to fall on the leaves. Water causes the thing called glucose to start to get out of the leaves causing the carbon dioxide to go in the leaves. However this does not affect the process of photosynthesis causing the leaf to stay alive. If the carbon dioxide process affected the photosynthesis process AT ALL then the leaf would resort to immediate DEATH. However it depends in how much glucose the leaf takes in depends on what the color it would be.
