The other day in science class, we dissected an apple. We started out with the apple on the left. I'm not promising the apples looked like this when we were finished with them, however. At first, we were put into partners and were told to share apples, but when Mr. Solarz discovered that he had, after all, bought enough for everyone to have their own, we went with our own apples. I seemed to notice that the boys started out with perfect apples like the girls did, but somehow their apples just didn't turn out as well as the girl's did. Maybe that's because us girls merely poked or prodded at our apples and the boys rarely left a spot with some brown thing etc. undiscovered (no offense boys). Anyway, we had a ton of fun and if we did it again, I think we all would look forward to it as much as we did this time, which is a lot!! |

For an explanation, of what this stuff is, scroll down a bit to the bottom of this picture. My class and I made posters and gave them to Mr. Solarz through an assignment form he put in a blog page. All of us were assigned a theme for our first poster, and then some of us made a second one, which is under the "read more" break.
The above is a presidential glog that I made in Odyssey. If you can't see one or both of the pictures, hover over "glogster" and click on "full size". I hope you enjoy it!
So... who won? On the left, is the results from the election, counting Florida as Democratic. Even if Florida didn't go democrat, Obama probably would have won. For some cool websites on the election, go up to past, election, and election time, or rather ELECTION TIME!!!! That is how it is written. I think that Obama might have been slowing down at first while Romney a head start. This is because Romney has more states. Then, he started pulling back, and got some bigger states like California. Romney just got small states, or he might have won. Anyway, I was thinking what would happen if kids could vote? Would the election have tied? Would Romney have won? Would another candidate, like from the Green party or something win? Do you have any ideas?
The above & below are graphic organizers for our energy debates. We were put in groups, and we are researching our energy source. For example, my group is wind energy. These organizers are for an opening essay that every group will read. An organizer like this one will help me understand my energy source for our energy debates by teaching me the good things and reasoning behind them. I might use a graph like this when I am older and I need to write a persuasive essay. This organizer helps you understand the concept of Wind energy because it shows you what we're talking about when we say wind energy. It shows you What we are talking about and what you might think we are talking about but we are not.I for one might use this in the future in the actual debates so it could give us boosts on arguments.
