This is my first video on GoAnimate and they debate about opening a pizza restaurant. The second video is about the first customer at Tommy's pizza, and he orders a lot!! Today at my house, I was wondering how to make an interesting, funny video. I looked it up online and discovered a great new website called GoAnimate. You can create funny cartoon vid's by choosing the character, setting, and event! It is really creative.
Link: http://goanimate.com/videomaker/full My first two videos are in the next post above. 1. My life would be very dull without water, and it would be hard to live without water. I LOVE playing in pools and sprinklers on hot summer days, we would have to rely on staying inside with the air conditioner on full blast. That wouldn't be good because we would have to pay more money for using our air conditioner a lot and we would become lazy because we weren't being active. Also, we couldn't bathe very easily without water, so we would smell all the time. And, how would we clean our laundry and clean our dishes. We would dehydrate without water. Water is very important to our life.
2. Plants and animals need water. If there was no water, there would be no fish, and sea animals are a big part of our diet. Animals require water, just like we do. Also, plants wouldn't stay alive for very long. (with the exceptions of cacti and a few others) 3. We need to recycle water to keep it reusable. If we recycle water we can reuse it, therefore not needing to take more water away from the ocean. Water needs to be recycled and we need to keep it in our lives. We also need the power plants that clean the water because without them we couldn't and wouldn't be able to drink water, or even use it at all. 4. Water is interesting because it can change into different forms and has many different, small unnoticed facts about it. Water can take the shape of what it is in. Also, water is interesting to learn about because, with learning about water, you learn about things that the water does, or what lies in water, OR learn about how WE use water. 5. Water is important for scientists to study because they can find out things that they never knew before! Maybe scientists will discover that water has a magical healing property combined with something else! Who knows what could be discovered!? We should give positive feedback about what they did good AND what they could work on. They might have a really good topic but not explain a lot about it, so maybe you could say "What a great topic, but I still have some questions." Also, we should receive positive feedback but also what we can work on.
Sound: When you pour the water into the cup, the water makes a sloshing sound. The water sounds like a tiny waterfall, or a small stream. The water is trickling into the other cup and makes a splashing sound. The water makes a soft sound as it hits the water.
Taste: The water tastes pure and clean with no artificial taste in it. The water has no minerals but at a camp I go to the water had iron in it and made it taste really weird. Sight: When the water is blown into the water creates a tiny indent for a second then returns to normal. Depending on how hard you blow into it the indent can be bigger or smaller. When you slosh the water around the water moves from side to side inside the cup. If you place the water on the table and bang the table ripples appear in the water and they look like tiny waves spreading out from the middle of the cup. If you pour water into another cup air bubbles rise to the top of the cup you pour into. If you look into the cup the water makes your view weird. Smells: The water doesn't smell like much but it smells kind of musty, but pure. The water doesn't smell like it has minerals, like the water I drank at a camp had minerals in it and made it smell funny. Touch: The water is cold to the touch and when you move your finger through the water you can effortlessly slide your finger around the cup. When you slide your finger around in the cup quickly it feels as if something is trying to slow down your finger. The water feels smooth, almost soft. How is ice different? The ice is colder and numbs my finger faster than the cold water. The ice feels smooth but is solid unlike the water. The ice doesn't have any distinct smell like the water. the ice isn't clear, and you can't see through it. Even though if you look through water it blurs your vision. How is water vapor different? The water vapor smells really bad but you can't see through it. The water vapor isn't very cold and feels nice against my skin. The water vapor isn't very visible and is like mist. I have a frog as a pet. She loves playing in the little bowl of water I provide her with. Yesterday, I had to clean the old water out, refill my water mister, and drain the leftover water out of her cage. I placed my frog in my quarantine cage so i could clean her cage. I picked up the bowl and the water was yellowish and it smelled. I dumped the disgusting water into the toilet and turned on the faucet. Soon, the temperature of the water was lukewarm, perfect for my bullfrog to swim in. I filled up the bowl of warm water next to her cage and grabbed the mister. I filled it up with warm water also, and placed it on my dresser. Finally, I had to clean the terrarium. I dumped the substrate that I used for the floor of my frog's cage onto a paper towel to dry. Then, I turned on the water really hot, to kill the germs in it. I flushed the toilet to get rid of the water. I let the cage soak in warm water for 6 or 7 minutes. Then I put the substrate back in the cage. I made a big indent for the water bowl, and placed the bowl on the side of the cage. After that, I lightly sprayed the cage with my mister. I put on my latex gloves to pick up my frog with, so oils and fluids from my body didn't poison my frog. She was very bumpy. I gently placed her in the cage, and as soon as she jumped off my hand, she jumped straight into the water bowl and started swimming around with her webbed feet. I watched her make ripples in the water and smiled at how energetic she was.
Q1: What is your Revolutionary War Hero famous for? How did he impact the Revolutionary War?
A: George Washington was famous for winning the Revolutionary War. George Washington impacted the war because without him as the leader, I don't think the colonists would've beaten Great Britain. Q2: Why do you think Mr. Solar had you do this project? A: I think mr. Solarz made us do this project because he wanted us to learn how to divide something into smaller important sections. Today we got to do a Nervous System experiment to test our sensory nerves. Someone threw a paper ball at another person who was holding up a plastic sheet to deflect the ball and we got to see their reaction to the ball. Q #1: How did your body respond when the ball of paper was thrown at you? A: When the ball was thrown at me I didn't flinch but I blinked as if there were something in my eye. I knew it wouldn't hit me but my nerves still reacted. Q #2: How would this reflex protect your eyes if the plastic had not been there? A: My nerves probably would've sent a message for my hands to react and catch the ball so it didn't hit me. Q #3: Do you think the nervous system responded to catching the ruler and blinking in the same way? Why or why not? Were both senses used? Were muscles used in both? Did you have to think about both actions? A: I think that my nervous system did respond the same way to catching the ruler and blinking when the ball was being thrown at me because my brain was telling me to do both actions. I don't think that muscles were used to make me blink though, because blinking doesn't require a muscle but catching a ruler in your hand requires muscles. I didn't think about blinking or catching the ruler because my brain just told my nerves to blink naturally and my brain told my muscles to move. Q #4: What do you think this reflex is called? Maybe it's called the I read Pickle Impossible for a Global Literature Circle book. I wanted a book that looked like it would be a great book to read. I wanted a book about mystery and the title fit my reasons to read it. This book is action-packed and leaves suspense at the end of each chapter. It was a really good book, with lots of good humor. I liked the setup of the story, having Pierre and Aurore having to solve all the little problems to get to the major part in the story - the contest! The thing I didn't like about it was that in the beginning there wasn't much description about the setting. It wasn't a major problem but I would've enjoyed it more if the author had added more description. Overall, this was a great book and I encourage people to read this book!
