I have a frog as a pet. She loves playing in the little bowl of water I provide her with. Yesterday, I had to clean the old water out, refill my water mister, and drain the leftover water out of her cage. I placed my frog in my quarantine cage so i could clean her cage. I picked up the bowl and the water was yellowish and it smelled. I dumped the disgusting water into the toilet and turned on the faucet. Soon, the temperature of the water was lukewarm, perfect for my bullfrog to swim in. I filled up the bowl of warm water next to her cage and grabbed the mister. I filled it up with warm water also, and placed it on my dresser. Finally, I had to clean the terrarium. I dumped the substrate that I used for the floor of my frog's cage onto a paper towel to dry. Then, I turned on the water really hot, to kill the germs in it. I flushed the toilet to get rid of the water. I let the cage soak in warm water for 6 or 7 minutes. Then I put the substrate back in the cage. I made a big indent for the water bowl, and placed the bowl on the side of the cage. After that, I lightly sprayed the cage with my mister. I put on my latex gloves to pick up my frog with, so oils and fluids from my body didn't poison my frog. She was very bumpy. I gently placed her in the cage, and as soon as she jumped off my hand, she jumped straight into the water bowl and started swimming around with her webbed feet. I watched her make ripples in the water and smiled at how energetic she was.
