Some pictures for you Ed!!!

We won the Revolutionary War even though the British out numbered us, out trained us, and out equipmented us.  We won because we used what was called gorilla warfare (later in the war) we used bushes, logs, rocks, and other hiding places.  The British stood in rows and got shot at from different places so they would get killed faster.   We did a tug of war simulation today.  We had one side all the bigger, taller kids on one side (the British) the other side was the smaller, shorter kids.(The Colonies.)  Then my group the French and allies of the colonies.  Then there was one kid who represented the German Hessians who was on the British side. They started out with only the colonies and the British. Then once the colonies allies came in it was an easy win.  They colonies     

Stay in character - you are you, but you are an apprentice in 1775, Boston.  You have traveled out to Illinois to meet these people and learn more about what life was like in this part of the world. 

Write about meeting your character (the one listed above) for the first time.  What are they like?  What was he or she doing?  What did you learn from them?  Create a story about your first experience with them.  You'll be spending more time with them tomorrow on our field trip!

    This man was very nice.  He asked me if I wanted anything.  He was explaning how to be a frontiers man.  It was cool this guy new how to hunt and do everything!  He is so awesome.

Reflection: I found out that the more watts there is in a light bulb the less it will last. I the future I will think twice about light bulbs.

Reflection:
It is so cool that The CFL 24 watt bulb can 6000 hours. That's 250 days of being on I never knew that.

Reflection: The CFL bulb can out last the 100 Watt Bulb that is awesome!!
