Questions: (1) What has been easy? (2) What has been hard? (3) What has been fun? (4) What has been boring? (5) What job do you have? How do you do your job? What advice can you give others about your job? (6) What job would you like next? Why? | My Answers: (1) Something that was easy during the Mystery Skypes was coming up with questions for the beginning. (2) Something that was hard for me during the Mystery Skypes was putting helpful links in the Google Doc, especially at the beginning of the Skype. (3) Something fun during the Mystery Skypes is hearing people guess the right town, county or even state. It is exciting when you can say yes to a question, especially as it gets closer to our exact location. (4) I have no answer for this question. (5) I am a Linker. I need to provide helpful links to everyone through the Google Doc. My advice to all Linkers out there is to not link to simple sites (i.e. Google) and to share every link that you think others would make use of. Don't hog your URLs! (6) I don't know what I would like to be next. I did one Mystery Skype last year, in which I was a Data Enterer. I would like to do that again, but I want to try all the jobs. |
Mystery Skyping is where you Skype another school, and, using yes or no questions, try to figure out their location. We have done three of them so far this year.

I think that mystery Skype is really cool. I see how it would be hard to put links up on google Doc

Especially at the beginning. There's really nowhere to link until you get pretty specific. For example, linking to a world map doesn't really help.

Zeynep Kocak
Hi! My name is Zeynep Kocak. I am a geologist from Turkey. It is important to have this job on Mars because there are lots of new specimens, and someone has to know how to study them. I am excited about this because I have not studied Mars before, and it will be a new and challenging experience. Archives
