I love Alcove Spring. I am so happy we are staying here. This is a great break from riding the Oregon Trail. There are so many things for us to do here. I went swimming. It was so nice. It was very relaxing. I wish we had the opportunity to do this every day. Then we would be less hot. The water was actually fresh. And because it was clean water, we cleaned our cloths. I also did a lot of string games, of cats cradle. It was so much fun, and really relaxing. We also had really delicious lunch. We went picking for berries. There were very delicious.The men caught a rabbit in the morning. So we made stew, it included potatoes and other vegetable. Usually we have left overs. We even made a apple cobbler for dessert. It is also good that we stopped be cause are animals need rest. When we continue on the trail are animals will be pulling us farther and all the other animals will be catching us to us. Why don't we settle here? Who needs Oregon?!
