My story is based on the book Liberation of Gabriel King. By K.L. Going. Here I explained all of the reasons I thought Frita, was persuasive.
Big Disaster with a Big Fish It was over spring break, and I was so excited. We were heading to a Museum. I had no idea what to expect. We looked around the first floor, then second floor. Then I remembered, there was an aquarium! I begged my parents to take me to the floor with all the sea life. When they finally said yes, I almost ran down the hallways, not caring if people thought I was crazy. We walked around and saw jelly fish, giant lobsters, and many more. Then across the room I saw a tank, and people hands, in the tank. I wanted so badly to see what was in there, and after my dad was done being mesmerized by the jellyfish, and holding us back, he finally aloud the rest of the family to go on. Once we walked down the ramp and got a better look at the tank my dad told me it was a sturgeon. I let him go first just to make sure it was safe. Then it was my turn. I rolled up my sleeves, reached down, and splashed. At that moment i wasn't so sure I wanted to touch, but I maned up and tried again. It was awesome! Then I went to go touch it again, not thinking, rolled down my sleeves, and go my whole arm soaked. I flung my arm around and I about got everyone wet. Then we I stepped back and thought about it for a second, It felt really weird, almost like human skin. That was a time I was never going to forget. It was really wet!!!!
I read the book A Drop Around the World, and learned many things about water. Rain and water is so important, it waters our plants and gives us something to drink.First, I learned about how water can travel, and grow, and can by vanished, and then reappear. I also learned that heat can evaporate water, or any substance that has water, but sometimes just liquid in general. That creates a vapor in the air. That vapor can be frozen and that's what creates snow. The water cycle changes depending on the season's and the climate. Next, in the water cycle is the state where the temperature changes often, when it is below zero, and then or 35. It can also depends on where you are in the world. Say you live in the north pole, your weather is very different from California, so the water is different. That is when water refreezes. When it rain's water drops can combine with lakes, rives, ext. Cirrus is just one example of the clouds that lay in the sky, and start the new life of the water on earth. As water is evaporated it goes back into the clouds and starts a new life until it rains again, starts a new life.
Notes Take notes on the goals of the first manned mission to Mars.
There are a lot of crazy numbers in the world, some low some high. I learned all about the people, religions, food and many more in If the Village were a World, by David.J.Smith. If the world were a village 100 people world live there. That is not a lot, considering 7.046 billion live on earth today. People are from all over the world. 60 are from Asia, 15 from Africa, 11 from Europe, 8 from South America/Central America/Mexico, 5 from Canada/US, and 1 from Australia. This is crazy! It really show show who how populated Asia is. The world village is filled with many different religions. 33 are Christians, 22 are Muslims, 15 follow no religion, 14 are Hindu, 9 practice Shamanism, 5 are Buddhist, and 2 follow an other religion, for example Judaism. Those numbers make up the number of people who live in the world village. We also learned about what percentage of the world would starve. 30 have a little food to keep them nurtured. 17 good die hungry. 53, a huge number have food security. This broke my heart. Knowing how fortune some places are made me wonder why so many places have to starve and have unhealthy water and air.So many live in an area's with disease,38 do. WOW! This book opened my eyes to see what the future would look like. And in 2150, 250 people will live, packed in the world village. Image credit:http://www.shc.edu/theolibrary/graphics/hunger.jpg
I was walking through the forest. Strobe light blinked before me. I heard wolf growls in distance. Hands in my pockets, scared. Trees shook, wind howled. I looked up. A house in the trees layed above me. The door creaked and I heard a voice, "I know you want to try to find me!" I ran as fast as I could but stopped with a jerk. Silhouettes danced by my sides. The gates opened real slowly.
" Come on!" the voice said in a real low. I don't think I have ran any faster in my life. I have to get out.
