Unfortunately, I learned through this evening's chat that my class is not all that global! I worked hard during tonight's #21stedchat to make connections with other 5th grade classrooms around the world, though, so that is about to change!!!

Thanks to this discussion, I have now connected with three classrooms around North America. Hopefully, we can do some fun things with our students!
UPDATE - 1/20/13: I have now connected with over 700 teachers on Twitter, I have 8 Mystery Skypes scheduled and two already completed, and we are set to do a virtual book club with a classroom in another state! I'd say that we are on our way to becoming a global classroom!!!

- We blog nearly everyday! You can read each of my student's blogs by clicking on the links above --- the header says ePortfolios, but if you hover over it, you can click on individual students' blogs.
- We put our videos on YouTube for others to view and comment on.
- We are beginning to collaborate with other classrooms around the U.S. and Canada.
