My book: Changing Weather
- THUNDERSTORMS AND LIGHTNING
- Facts: Thunderstorms usually form when moist air moves quickly upward. As the moisture climbs higher, it cools and forms clouds of ice and water vapor.
- Lightning can heat the air to a dangerous temperature of 30,000 Celsius in less than 1 SECOND.
- The warm air makes the air Vibrate or usually what we call Thunder
- TORNADOES
- Tornado pretty much FLATTEN everything they touch
- Tornadoes look like spinning tubes but actually they are funnels that go up to 419 Kilometers
- Conditions have to be PERFECT to have a tornado
- You have to enough Cold and HOT air to have a tornado
- Chances are slim, but don't bet on it
