I think Trello helps a lot because I know when I did or didn't do something. It also helps because I have my whole project sorted out so I know what to do first, and what to do last. I think we could make the process better by having the Trello put somewhere so that we remember it more, because you have to log in and find it every time you want to look at it.
Good idea Annie! Do you think we should take a screen shot of our Trello card at the beginning of the round and post it on our Weebly blog right away so we can look at it while we work through the round? We could make revisions as we go like we already do and then take a screen shot again at the end to show how we improved our process. What do you think? What would you add or change?
Our Trello process helps us plan out the project when we don't know exactly what to do. It also helps us remember what to do instead of making everything up as we go along. I think that this is good so that if you got really far into a project and it started to not work out, then you would have your Trello to help you through it. I think that we couldn't make the process better. Mr. Solarz is pretty much on top of everything and made it as fun as possible. Not only that, but it works out! Thanks Mr. Solarz! :)
Well said Drew! I'll pay you $5 for that comment tomorrow. ;)
I think the Trello board really helps us plan are passion time because we have to follow the steps and with making us follow the step it helps us have a plan because it is all ready tipped up on the Trello that we have to follow. I think we could make this process better with having us do half of are board then do the other half after we finish the last one.
Interesting idea Charlie. Do you mean that we should do half of our steps on the Trello card and then when we finish accomplishing those steps, we should do the other half?
I like the idea. I have some ideas, but tell me how YOU think this change might improve our planning process.
Trello helps me because if I forget one of my steps I can then go back to my Trello card and see what I have to do next. I think that really I like the passion process make sense and I like it a lot.
What do you think might happen to most students if we didn't take the time to plan out our process before we started in? How will you transfer this skill (of planning out your steps) to other situations in middle school?
The Trello helps me plan by, just giving me an outline to guide my project along, it is like a frame that I can always add to. it kinda guides me and tells me where to go with my project. We could make this better by maybe having the Trello have something that allows you to share passion boards, so we can all add cards at the same time, without erasing all unsaved work.
Great suggestion Sadie. I think we will do it your way next year. With Trello Gold, we can each have our own sign-on and all be on the board at the same time without any worries of deleting other people's cards. I just have to set it up!
I think that the trello is very important to the passion time because it makes you stay focused to the guide lines but also shows freedom.
Tell me more. I'm not sure I completely understand. I think you were rushed at the end of the period.
Also, there is another question. If you have time, please respond to that as well. Thanks Keegan.
Trello helps you a lot so you have something to organize your thoughts and plan out what you are going to do for the whole round of passion time. It also helps because if you didn't have those steps written down you could forget them or even do them in the completely wrong order. We could make the process better by maybe putting the Trello on a blog like we are just starting to do.
I like your idea Sean - I think we should put our screen shot on our blog immediately after we create it so we can see it every time we are working on our blog entry. We can always edit the Trello card, take another screen shot, and replace it! We're getting pretty quick at things like that! :)
Well, I know that the Trello planning process helps me plan my passion project because I am not lost when I finish something. Lets say I was making a website for my passion time about the different systems in the human body and I finished making a part of the website that is full of information about the digestive system and I didn't know what to do. That's where the Trello card would come in and I could look at the Trello card and see what system in the human body to work on next. It basically tells me what the next step is, so it's kind of like a check list.(but easier because I can't lose it.) I think that we could improve it by making more Trello computers and having something to remind us to look at it because sometimes I forget!
I love your insightful comments Sam. You have similar ideas to some of the kids above you and I have replied to them with some ideas for allowing us all to sign in to Trello at the same time and a way to have our Trello card "handy" when we need it. Please check out some of my replies above!
