Arbor Day is on April 10th. It is a day where you plant trees. It was made by Julius Sterling Morton. About 1 million trees were planted on the first Arbor Day. 36 other countries have Arbor Day as a national holiday! J. Sterling Morton said it would be a good idea at the State Board of Agriculture. Since 1872, Arbor Day has been a national holiday! Last year, Mr. Solarz's class did a skit about Arbor Day! There is a page on this website about that! It is here. |
