On January 30th, we spent a whole morning in the Field Museum exhibit: The Evolving Earth. The morning session had the purpose of learning about the creation of our Earth that we live on in a Non-religious form. Only in the scientific way. We also have a future unit that is called Watery Earth that is about how water got to our earth in prehistoric times. We learned all about the weather changes and how they effected the animals, evolution of the animals in those times, and the times when big extinctions happened in time. This time was worth taking a morning off of school, because we had a preview of our future units and we learned about something we might not know about that is very important to us. How it rained for millions of years amazed me, because having that much water vapor in the air to rain that long is beyond anything that we humans have ever recorded.I do believe that there is other planets that can sustain life, because even though there is many criteria for us humans to live with water is a small combo of molecules and ozone is just a collected area of 3 oxygen's. Also from Dennis he told us that life started a single cell organisms , so to sustain only a single cell not an entire DNA stream it should work.
