My Observations:
Reflection Questions:
- The arrangement of inedible seeds looked like a smashed fly.
- It made a crunch at an audible volume when my finger pushed against the side.
- A drip of apple juice trickled down the back of the apple.
- The brown corner of the apple felt mushy to the touch, almost like a rotten banana.
- The apple had small tufts of fuzz in the center, with the seeds.
- There were tiny, intricate, bright green lines all around the surface.
- When I carved out a piece, I saw that the inside, behind the tan surface, was bright green.
- Underneath the brown spot was brown, not green.
- It smelled like fresh apple cider.
Reflection Questions:
- Why were you able to observe so many things about your apple today?
- Why is observation and description so important in science?
- Rank order the five senses in the order or your observations (i.e. which sense was used most, second most, etc.).
- Sight/Visual Observations
- Touch/Feel Observations
- Sound/Hearing Observations
- Smell Observations
