Here is our Google Doc with all of our supplies.
We bought everything we needed like: knives, prairie schooners, oxen, seeds, and our computers ( even though we hide them ) and a lot more. But even with that we had to keep in mind about spacing and weight and plus the fact that this wagon is being pulled by only two oxen. We also bought medical things like bandages. We also got things for defense like guns revolvers and knives. But we did not buy food or pelts because we can get them from animals on the oregon trail.
I learned that pioneers brought all sorts of things with them including
•knives
•horses
•oxen
•shoes
•piano's
•pets
•medicine
•beds
•harmonica's
•toys
•pans
•pots
•firewood
•children
•friends
•food
•and all types of other crazy things
I was surprised at the fact that people brought things like piano's and other things and later dumped them out. And the fact that people would travel along the Oregon trail and collect items that others threw away and sold them to people who wanted it and would obviously throw it away.
